There's Progressive Rock

and then there's The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. All it took was a bout of insomnia to get me to listen to it cover-to-cover for the first time, and it is an extremely rewarding experience. It's about 90 minutes of eargasm; simultaneously fragile, immense, beautiful, terrifying, intricate and fantastically creative. List is other life changing albums.
