| Life: 2, Maybe 3.0 (Also, Fuck Cockroaches)
Haven't been on here in a while, due to my schedule being rather hectic as of late. My girlfriend and I moved from our increasingly claustrophobic one-bedroom into a way nicer two-bedroom a couple towns away (but closer to both our jobs). It also has a balcony! We both really liked the idea of being more on our own and farther from our normal help. And we're both devoted to making this new place and this new life as awesome as possible. But we ran into an unexpected obstacle: fucking cockroaches. Not a hideous infestation or anything, but enough to set off some alarms. We notified the landlord and she set us up in another apartment in a different building while they exterminated our apartment and the rest of that building (which happens to be attached to the leasing office, so I think that gave them some more incentive). And we didn't have to pay rent for the week we were in the other place, which was cool. But anyway, the cockroaches are gone, and we've finally begun to unpack and set up the new place. I may have lost four iPods in the last few months due to little infernal pieces of wood getting in the plug-in thing from bringing them to my warehouse job (I've been kicking myself incessantly, all of those losses were very preventable), but at least I still have my new apartment, my girlfriend, and a computer. And my writing. Without an iPod always by my side, I'll probably be focusing a lot more on that now. Here's to life! | | 1 |  | The Suicide Machines

05.14.15 | I think quitting Med School without ever failing a class (forcing yourself immediately to begin paying back $200,000 worth of debt with 2 essentially worthless degrees by themselves) and not because you want to quit but because you have severe self esteem issues, going on a week bender of non-stop crying, threatening suicide, cutting yourself, burning your hair with a lighter, having the cops called on her and finally leaving the state in the middle of the night post breakup without telling anyone, even your roommates, meets the precedent for crazy. | porcupinetheater

like i said everyones crazy and has the capacity to lose it. stress, depression, and anxiety can break a person. not their fault and its not necessarily an inherent part of who they are.
im just offering up another perspective on the matter because i kind of have beef with the whole "crazy ex-girlfriend" thing in general (nothing to you personally). i think its harmful. | JWT155
