07.08.19 | Gave this a spin dude. Not too shabby for what you're going for. The song writing is good, I think the 3rd track is the best one on here. Obviously it's a very short EP with about 7 minutes of music, I think some of your ideas could be more fully developed into longer, more build and release type stuff. Your playing is good, but the recording and mixing could use some help to make it sound a little more professional. But overall opinion is.. good job, and you're off to a great start! would be curious to hear some more fully realized stuff from this project. |

07.09.19 | Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I know the production is pretty bad, I just made do with what I had which was an iPhone with the GarageBand app, one microphone and a thing that I plug into my guitar and connect it to my phone. I think songwriting/composition is my strongest point. Mixing and whatnot is still really hard for me. I had planned to make this longer, I actually wrote five songs but I only had a certain window of free time to record this and it took longer than I anticipated, partly because halfway through recording I realized my guitar was going out of tune and had to re-record a bunch of stuff on a different guitar. I agree that the third track is the best. I’d like to eventually get a full band going and see what I can do with people who can bring different skills to the table versus doing it solo where I have some obvious strengths and weaknesses. |

07.10.19 | everytime I see your name I think of that mewithoutyou song from ten stories. congrats on finishing your work for reals. |

07.10.19 | Gave it a listen, honestly the recording quality was better than I expected! The guitars are definitely the major strength right now - this isn't my genre at all so I can't really comment on the vocals. The first track stuck out to me as the best, that guitar intro was really great. I would recommend giving the drum parts another shot because they occasionally sound a little odd (the crash cymbals clash with the vocals a bit sometimes). good job man. |

07.10.19 | Lol Calc I came up with this name way before that song came out (it’s from a book called Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk and also from a Panic! At the Disco song based on that book) but mewithoutYou is one of my favorite bands so it worked out well. Although tbh that’s one of my least favorite songs by them. Let me know your thoughts if you listen btw!
Thanks so much for the feedback Point1. I agree about the drums. I actually did adjust the drums and reupload it a couple days ago, I think it was even worse before. I’m not a drummer (I can play like a basic 4/4 beat but that’s about it) and I don’t even own a drum set so I had to just program the drums in GarageBand to the best of my ability. For some reason they sound pretty good and fairly organic on certain headphones/speakers and like tinny plastic garbage on others and I’m not sure why. |

07.10.19 | I use Logic and have similar problems with the drums. If I figure out a better option I'll let you know. |
