Bands I Am Glad I Gave A Chance

These bands have taken over my iPod and sadly I almost never gave them a chance, what a sad day that would have been :(
1Laura Stevenson and the Cans
Sit Resist

Laura needless to say has the voice of not just an angel but the angel of
angels, and the band itself knows how to make music and in this past
month i still cant help but have them playing in my ear constantly, this is
possibly my choice for album of the year.
2Bomb the Music Industry!
Vacation

Usually not too into punk but accidentally clicked on the youtube clip "It
Ceases to be Whining, If youre still shitting blood". Jeff just seems to know
what he is doing and he cant make a bad song, + the songwriting is
phenomenal.
3Eucharist
Mirrorworlds

Had enough of the Melodeath genre for a long while besides DT of course
but these guys bring something new to the table or at least actually know
how to blend brutality with melody.
4 In Flames(pre R2R)
Jester Race

New modern IF sucks and we all know it but I just had to be what I thought
was an idiot at the time and learn their history, Power metal with harsh vox
never sounded so good, but sadly R2R changed all that.
5Bus Driver
Temporary Forever

I plain hated mainstream rap and didnt think underground rap could be
different, boy was i wrong, not only is Bus Driver extremely fast but are
actually entertaining
6Green Day(Dookie and before)
Dookie

Green Day nowadays just does not sit well with me, and neither did punk
as a whole but after reluctantly listening to Dookie I fell in love with it and
how pop punk and eventually punk could be well worth listening to when
image didnt override emotion
7 Downhere
Ending Is Beginning

I am not the biggest fan of christian contemporary because well most of it
sucks tbh but when Marc Martel sounds like Freddie Mercury, the
compositions are put together very well, a second singer can harmonize
extremely well and with all the different styles this band can implement in
their music, i can say i am a fan now
8 Slaughter of the Bluegrass
Singles only

This band does not have an album but they have done covers of ATG, IF,
AA, and DT in deathgrass style nonetheless. Bluegrass and death metal
don't seem to mix but SotB seamlessly blends these two genres together
very well and make you appreciate death metal even more
9A Thousand Times Repent
Virtue Has Few Friends

Christian death metal. but dont let that fool you, this band destroys almost
any dm band out there as they know how to actually use the breakdown,
their use of triplets is phenomenal, they are not just br00tal 200% of the
time, and they talk about killing demons. Awesomeness if I ever saw it, oh!
and their singer actually has an amazing voice.
10Ulver
Bergtatt

2 of the finest black metal albums I have ever heard in Bergtatt and
Nattens Madrigal, and their electronic albums are mindblowingly simplistic
but amazing nonetheless, I can't believe I almost said no to these guys,
and no i didn't even have a reason to say not to them.
