Rik VII 11.12.19	I don't listen to a lot of new metal anymore either, but I have a bunch of go-to bands for certain moods. I don't really feel like exploring more since I already know the genre pretty well. I still listen to Alcest and Agalloch for the atmosphere, Dir En Grey (2008 - 2014) for the heavy stuff, Kamelot for the melodic stuff, and occasionally Tool and Opeth because they are Tool and Opeth.

OysterizerInsomniac 11.13.19	My taste used to be wide af. But life happens, and over time or all of a sudden, certain music doesn't do it for you anymore, so it's time to move on. My taste had to get narrow in some areas to expand in others. Will say that I'll revisit Agalloch soon cause the days are getting really short. Also idk if yall have ever heard like 8-bit remixes of Converge (maybe I'll revisit that album with all the moons on it or Axe to Fall) or Death but that's what makes me feel like their music sounds like videogame music. The fact that it translates so well to boss battle/intense level music.
