PayneTiger777 03.19.12	I remember watching a video for Silent Hill 3 when you go into this room that has a giant mirror and you see these weird bloody vines start to form in the reflection, but nothing happening on your side. It slowly gets worse and if you stay in the room long enough, the bloody vines become reality and you die.

dammets 03.19.12	the scaries part in the entire series was in the sh2 prison. the courtyard where you put those three tablets in the middle and you hear the sound of somene dying. And the sound of the horse galloping. I was so sure there actually was something there, it took a while for me to work up the nerve to actually go in further.

Gyromania 03.19.12	"fuck alan wake" I mean, the game got less interesting/scary as you progressed, but it was undeniably beautiful and fun to play for a while On the subject, I don't think Silent Hill Downpour is any good. I haven't played it yet, so I can't say that for certain, but based on reviewers I trust, watching numerous videos of the final product, and postulating that they're bound to keep going downhill after "The Room", I think it's pretty safe to say that it's a by-the-numbers Silent Hill title. The first three are the best, in my opinion, although I think that the fourth was met with unfair critical response; it's actually pretty good. Silent Hill (movie) was pretty great, but there's quite a bit that they messed up on.
Shuyin 03.19.12	the room was different, but it was definitelly OK, specially when the room, which suposedly was your safe spot, turns against you. game has some details that actually make it good, the story was kinda lame tho.

LepreCon 03.20.12	Downpour's pretty neat but the combat is a little repetitive and the enemies aren't very imagnative, the AI is a bit DERP and there are some annoying glitches but other than that its worth checking out 3.5/5

andcas 03.21.12	@dev, she actually went through a huge character change in the movie. in the game she burned her daughter alive and kept her alive afterwards just so she would stay in pain and suffering because it was like the only way to birth her cults god. in the movie they tried to make her some clueless poor woman who got tricked into taking her daughter to that main woman running the church, christabella, making her the only true evil one who put all of it into motion.

andcas 03.21.12	why does hollywood fuck up every video game based movie? they made mortal kombat with no gore and a pg-13. don't mention street fighter. silent hill was pretty well adapted compared to other atrocities but certain changes really killed it from being truly awesome. resident evil is the worst offender to me.
