04.05.20 | 15 (as well as the other stuff that isnt Formless) is underrated and overlooked
cheers for the great list |
Avagantamos
04.05.20 | I actually never got into gridlock's first 2 albums that much. I think it was the vocals that brought them down for me, plus they're more on the industrial side rather than IDM |
parksungjoon
04.05.20 | the debut was electro-industrial for sure but i dont remember Further having much of that at all tbh |
ResidentNihilist

06.05.20 | Nice one, I know the Hecq and Gridlock albums and they're amazing. I love idm & glitch, I'd recommend Maps And Diagrams - Antennas And Signals for example, very obscure idm and ambient album. Will check out Xela soon. |
TheSpaceMan
06.05.20 | *sigh* most music of high intellect does seem to fly under the radar in today's society |

06.09.20 | Big thanks for uploading this list, checked out the albums of Xela (very good) and Access To Arasaka (wonderful atmosphere), every time I discover a "new" album that's amazing i'm extremely thankful for it.
Music is like a miracle to me, I know so many great atmospheric electronic albums but still there are so many new facets to it. Good albums will stay with me for my whole life and will never get boring even after the 100th listen. |
JohnnyoftheWell
06.09.20 | should check some of these
enjoyed ametsub's debut way more than Nothings of the North + Gridlock does very little for me :[ |
Avagantamos
06.09.20 | I’m glad to hear people are still using this list to find new stuff
I still need to check ametsub’s debut actually, only his other two. I’ll give it a go right now |

VlacDrac
08.09.20 | Great list. |
y87arrow
08.31.20 | I discovered another great idm & glitch album: "Moon_Phase" (2003) by Displacer. Actually I had to add that album to the sputnik database because it wasn't there.
Also very nice is "Atavism" by SND, from my beloved (and alas dead) raster-noton label.
Right now I can'T discover enough idm & glitch albums! |
Avagantamos
09.01.20 | Nice i'm excited to hear that one, as 2003 is probably my favorite year for IDM.
an interesting one I discovered recently is Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds by Vegyn. it combines glitchy IDM with southern hip hop/trap. I just started taking music production classes, and IDM and Memphis hip hop are two of my biggest inspirations. I hope to be able to blend those styles smoothly, so it's exciting to see someone else with a similar artistic vision succeed. |
y87arrow
09.01.20 | yeah, after second listen Moon_Phase really unfolded nicely, great atmosphere. Not as experimental as other idm albums but in this case I really like the recurring parts in every song.
Right now I'm first-listening to Aphorism - Surge (2009), another nice idm album. But the artist wasn't on here, only a metal band called Aphorism, so I decided to add the artist under "Aphorism (idm)".
I'm really very happy and thankful right now because I discovered so many great albums in a short time span. Now it's time for me to slow down again and enjoy those albums for a long time. |

02.19.21 | Discovered Integral - Rise days ago and it's really wonderful, I love the atmospheres and the colourful sounds. Gets better with every listen.
Subheim - Approach is also great, very atmospheric. Totakeke - The Things That Disappear When I Close My Eyes gets better now during my second listen. That album needs some time, more than the other 2 but it slowly unfolds nicely. |

02.19.21 | ava list m/ |

Avagantamos
02.20.21 | @y87arrow be sure to check out Integral's follow up album 'The Past is My Shadow'. it's just as intricately produced and uses a broader sound palate for an even more mystical and enchanted feel. |
y87arrow
06.27.21 | I will at some point. By the way thanks for including Architect - Consume Adapt Create (wonderful autumnal atmosphere) and the qebrus one (very interesting with mesmerizing sounds, great to completely sink into the world of the album) because I checked out both only days ago.
Never heard of "flashcore" before, sounds interesting |

Glad im not the only one familiar with it. Found o9 from schematic's Lily of The Valley comp (free to download: https://schematicmusiccompany.bandcamp.com/album/lily-of-the-valley), which has tracks from richard devine and phoenecia as well.
