01.07.12 | For hazy stuff of other genres:
Suma - Let the Churches Burn (hypnotic stoner doom, will lull you into a weed coma)
Samothrace - Life's Trade (stoner doom, but more epic hazy stuff that'll blow your mind, even vast post-rock parts)
The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand (Shoegaze/Drone Doom metal. This will seriously crush you. It's so overwhelming musically but really fuzzy and omigod)
Belong - Common Era (Shoegaze/ambient. Just really really really beautiful stuff that makes you feel like you're in a dream)
Big Troubles - Worry (really fuzzy noise rock, really fun and bright and catchy)
Letting Up Despite Great Faults - Letting Up Despite Great Faults (synthy, really cute shoegaze. Just music to hold hands with that special someone with during Summer. Seriously so good it's slkdjfasdfas)
Wavves - King of the Beach (duh. If you don't already have it, really catchy fun lo-fi reverby surf rock with early pop-punk influence. Really catchy and some shoegazey parts will blow your mind when you're stoned)
Best Coast - Crazy For You (another duh. More reverby, lo-fi beach pop that's just really adorable and impossible to hate. Not complex but does it have to be to enjoy yourself this much?) |
