| My Most Important Songs Chronologically Ordered
A list of songs which were/are the most important to me as they either chaned my musical tastes, or to me, were simply awesome. | 1 | Blink 182 Rock Show
Well, you have to start somewhere, it was on Now 49 I think... | 2 | The Killers Somebody Told Me
I can just remeber listening to this song for all of summer in 2004, I reckon could even remeber the lyrics now. I suppose I wanted to be different and not like Mr Brightside like everyone else. | 3 | The Offspring Come Out And Play
I suppose this is really my first slight intusion into the rock world. I bought the Greatest Hits of the band and I was just transfixed by the bass line. I still listen to this song occasionally :-) | 4 | Slipknot Wait And Bleed
I was too young to when it first came out to know what metal was (I was 5 in 1999). But when I did eventually hear it, I like every other 11 year old who hadn't heard anything like it before found this as my gate way into metal. However much crap Slipknot takes, I must credit this song as laying down the 'foundations' if you will for my taste in music, so for that I thank them! | 5 | Sex Pistols Holidays In The Sun
Watching the punk episode of the Seven Ages of Rock was enough to make me go out and buy the Sex Pistol's album and I loved this song. Punk classic. | 6 | Stone Sour Orchids
Bought the two Stoen Sour albums, wanting to see what else Corey had to offer after realising Slipknot despite being good, was not actually the greatest thing ever to happen to moden music. I was dissapointed with Come What(ever) May, but I think it was unfortunate I listened to it right after their debut which is brilliant in my opinion. 'Orchids' and 'Inhale' really stand out and I've loved that album for few years now. | 7 | Rage Against The Machine Born Of A Broken Man
Rage Against The machine finally established themselves as one of my favourites after listening to this. | 8 | Machine Head Slanderous
Simply amazed when I bought this just over a year ago. This and 'Now I lay Thee Down' were be stand outs in what is one of my few 'perfect albums.' | 9 | Refused New Noise
Simply epic song, however many times I hear it. | 10 | Deftones Sextape
Mind was blown after hearing this song. Helped make best album of the year in my book. | |

12.06.10 | Honourable mentions include HIM and Lostprophets (in my early days), later Cold, and more recently Gallows, Fightstar and Nirvana :-) | zarquan99
12.07.10 | nu-stalgia | DinoX
12.07.10 | Nice list makes me think about my own journey lol...
I actually had zero interest in music whatsoever until about 4 years ago.
1st was James blunt then Ac/dc and metallica
After I realized they sucked I moved on to Bullet For My Valentine (brootal?)
then In Flames, then Attack Attack!
then... Sputnik raped my mind with amounts of music to listen to | Scoot
12.07.10 | Sum 41 - Still Waiting
Metallica - Disposable Heroes
Children of Bodom - Needled 24/7
Misery Signals - A Certain Death
Glassjaw - Tip Your Bartender
The National - Green Gloves
| Bull with Gloves
12.07.10 | I'd say Born of a Broken Man and Orchids are two of the best songs by their respective artists (RATM is sick period, but looking at Stone Sour's whole catalog, Orchids is a masterpiece) |
