Donut Country (switch) - 7/10
Really short puzzle game where you control a hole in the ground that gets bigger the more stuff you sink into it. Very Katamari like. It has a lot of story scenes, too many in my opinion, but it’s a fun game and it’s like three hours long and is usually on sale for a couple bucks. | 2 | | dltzk Frailty
The Room 2 (PC) - 8/10
The first sequel to the puzzle box/escape room game The Room. The puzzles here are just as good as the first game and I like that they upped the horror elements. This is an awesome series if you like puzzle games where you click on something 48 times, give up, then come back and click on it again and realize you were missing the single pixel you actually had to click. | 3 | | underscores fishmonger
Gunfire Reborn (PC) - 10/10
I’ve been playing this game since its first week in early access and oh boy is it great. Gunfire is a FPS/roguelike that’s very similar to Borderlands except there’s almost no story and it’s four procedurally generated levels that you play over and over again. It’s the only looter shooter I enjoy and it’s super fun in 4 player co-op. The mechanics and buffs are super complicated and it’s all written in Engrish so it takes so time to get used to. But yeah, you can play as a cat or a dog and it’s very very fun, and also my most played game on Steam. | 4 | | Little Simz Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
Firewatch (PC) - 7.5/10
Oh boy, a walking simulator! In this game you wander around a national park and talk to a lady on your walkie talkie. The story is nice and the semi open/Metroidvania type progression reminds me a lot of A Short Hike, just not nearly as good gameplay wise. This game is all about the story and the characters. Not gonna spoil it but it’s kind of a downer and the reaction to the ending is mixed. I really like it though, good game. | |

What y'all playing lately? | bloc
12.01.21 | 3 is a lot of fun, but I haven't played it in a while | MrSirLordGentleman
12.01.21 | Firewatch has a beautiful style to it. I don't mind walking simulators as long as the characters/plot/atmosphere are good. Firewatch really seemed to be building up something like that but yeah, as you said, the ending felt really bland for me | Gyromania
12.01.21 | The room 2 was great. Just played it myself not too long ago. Check out the talos principle if you get a chance. Probably my favourite puzzler ever, has a very engaging story too steeped in philosophy. | ConcubinaryCode
12.01.21 | The ending to firewatch kind of made me feel like I was stupid. It's not a bad game but the lengths they go to build up on the story only to completely deflate it all was a bonerkiller. It's not even a bad game I think cuz exploring feels organic and fun and the dialogue is great but even looking at it like a journey not a destination type game the ending does sound the whole mood.
I'm playing hades rn and it's a blast. Speaking of great dialogue and characters. I think the gameplay loop is a little too shallow to warrant it's overall run time but I appreciate the builds not being so overwhelming while still having enough meaningful variety. Not the greatest supergiant score but it definitely has choice cuts. 4/5 | twlight
12.01.21 | grabbed the xbox the series s last week some im playing a ton of Halo online, some forza 5, and playing through New Vegas for the first time | Gyromania
12.01.21 | Hades was a great time for like 10 hours. After that the repetition really set in hard. Unlike binding of isaac which has so much variety even after dozens of hours of play, Hades feels much less satisfying in its rewards and especially in its boss design. I would for sure recommend it to people but I don't think it's deserving of the praise it gets | ConcubinaryCode
12.01.21 | Supergiant has made consistently great games so I'm ok with the love they've been getting lately even if hades isn't the most original or fun game from them. I also think it's a pretty safe intro for roguelikes too. | Gyromania
12.01.21 | Yeah true, it's probably one of the more accessible roguelikes out there. I do love the aesthetic, voice acting, gameplay loop, etc too, I just wish it had more depth to it. I love supergiant on the whole tho, I always get excited when they release something new | Trebor.
12.01.21 | Hades is my favorite game of the last few years | Gyromania
12.02.21 | It would be a solid 9/10 for me if they'd add some dlc content. New realms, new bosses (this especially) would rly improve its longevity imo |
