This Is Hardcore
Will be traveling to Philly with my girlfriend for this years This Is Hardcore.
Last year was a blast. Really cool to see GWAR one last time and the Modern
Life and Suicide File reunions. This year is going to be a blast as well seeing as
I'm getting free board which means more money for WaWa sandwiches. |
1 | | Killswitch Engage As Daylight Dies
Yeah, weirdest band to be stoked for at a 4 day fest I know. I've seen this band a few
times with Howard when they were huge back in 2008 but with a security barrier. So it is
going to be great to see them with Jesse in an environment like This Is Hardcore where
there's no barrier and the only security being a pouty faced Joe Hardcore Randy Blything
people off stage. |
2 | | Full of Hell Rudiments of Mutiliation
I saw this band play at an MIT frathouse in Boston a few months ago and almost nobody was
there other than a few crusties with trust funds. Band is a blast to see, and the vocalist is just as
good, if not better, live as he is on recording. These guys bring it and are really chill dudes as well. |
3 | | Nails Abandon All Life
They performed at TIHC last year and it was my first exposure to this band and I lost my
mind because they were so good. |
4 | | Power Trip Manifest Decimation
MAXIMUM RIFFAGE, I've seen this band 5 times over the past 3 years and I'm stoked to see them
in Philadelphia. |
5 | | Madball Set if Off
Weird to think I was an infant when Set it Off first came out. Great album, great band. |
6 | | 100 Demons 100 Demons
The combination of many different regional scenes and many different regional crews is going
to be interesting once 100 Demons takes the stage. This band was seemingly only created
for wiggerish tough guys looking for a fight which is like, a lot of people at the fest. |
7 | | Wisdom in Chains The Missing Link
Wisdom is one of the best live bands and have always been down to earth, really cool
dudes as long as I've been seeing them, starting in 2009. |
8 | | Rotting Out Street Prowl
This band is always around my region and they have a lot of energy in their performances. They
played last year and it was nuts. Should be just as nuts. |
9 | | Bad Luck 13 We Kill Children
Known for their violent performances, and for basically ending Hellfest, I'm both
excited and uneasy about how this is going to do. They're headlining the final day of
the fest, so there's that. |
10 | | Stigmata Do Unto Others
By far one of the best early Metalcore bands out there. Really excited to see them.
They were supposed to play my area, but they dropped the show because of the
weather. |
