08.29.11 | I just use the default but would be interesting to know if anyone changes it when they play certain genres? or do you have a certain one that you keep it at? |
djunior
08.29.11 | I do, but I dont know anything about it really. I just change the settings until I like it. |
Knave
08.29.11 | i typically don't. I feel like it's the artist's responsibility to Equalize the music so that it sounds the best it can and if I equalize it myself i'm taking away from it somewhat |
Ovrot
08.29.11 | bass boost
bass is always under-utilized in music except in primus |
Manic_
08.29.11 | I do when playing certain genres. Mainly with electronic, classical/piano & hardcore/metal.
also 3, 4 & 5 rule. |
Spec
08.29.11 | R&B |
mvood
08.29.11 | @Knave that's exactly why I don't use it because I feel as though I'm listening to it in the wrong way |
LumpSum
08.29.11 | i use bass boost
|
Deviant.
08.30.11 | Yeah, I do. If I'm putting an album on itunes I'll just set it then so when I play it on my iPod it automatically switches to that eq |
North0House2
08.30.11 | I do. |
illmitch
08.30.11 | no, i'm not gay |
whywontyoudie
08.30.11 | I use the jazz setting in my car, but i don't use it on my ipod or anything. |
FromDaHood
08.30.11 | I do not |
lechium3
08.30.11 | setting the eq can make a big difference if you are listing through quality headphones or speakers. |
TheBloodTypo
08.30.11 | Hell naw. |
Proworks31
08.30.11 | I do. |
Trebor.
08.30.11 | Bass boost |
Deviant.
08.30.11 | R&B will give you better bass than that^ |
Carnifex
08.30.11 | Usually the rock preset, I used to use bass boost but it drowns out the guitars and just makes everything muddy. |
Tyler.
08.30.11 | yeah pretty much what carnifex said so i just keep it off |
tkxxx7
08.30.11 | acoustic is easily the best as far as ipods/itunes |
Kimm
08.30.11 | Always bass boost except when I listen to Lengsel, and then I like more treble don't know why.
For the most part that's it. |
Kimm
08.30.11 | I do sometimes change the setting between "club", "pop" and "rock". Not a fan of the jazz setting or vocal. |
Carnifex
08.30.11 | I probably would just use flat if I didn't have a subwoofer. |
HaydenDyson
08.30.11 | im always afraid i will forget that it is on and listen to music badly for many years |
tkxxx7
08.30.11 | the rock setting sucks so bad for most stuff |
Waior
08.30.11 | somebody changed all my songs into the rock eq and made the volume +100
everything sounds like garbled shit |
Kimm
08.30.11 | I don't even know how to change the settings on an iPod...you can do that? I just do it int car and leave my iPod as is. |
tkxxx7
08.30.11 | Settings > playback > EQ |
FatChickIrl
08.30.11 | use classical its the shit |
BigShark
08.30.11 | R&B is great for the ipod. |
foreverendeared
08.30.11 | Yes, it makes a tremendous difference. |
foreverendeared
08.30.11 | and I use R&B on the ipod as well. It's the best pre-setting |
clercqie
08.30.11 | Hell no, thing's can do more bad than good, IMO |
BigShark
08.30.11 | R&B should be the bass booster EQ, imo. |
Manic_
08.30.11 | R&B should be the bass booster EQ, [2] |
SCREAMorphine
08.30.11 | I hate EQ unless it's a really poorly produced track, good head phones/speakers are the key. Most producers spend half the time getting the pefect EQ settings for each track, you don't need to change the EQ just buy good head phones. |
mvood
08.30.11 | Wow I just tried R&B setting on some under produced albums and it really does make it sound 100x better |
PedalToTheMetal
08.30.11 | classical is the best |
Ovrot
08.30.11 | oh fuck
r&b make the rhythm section come alive |
BigShark
08.30.11 | Yeah, classical sounds similar to R&B with slightly less bass. They're both good. |
Ovrot
08.30.11 | more bass = Good |
BigShark
08.30.11 | No shit. |
Ovrot
08.30.11 | well someone has sand in their vagina |
nnnope
08.30.11 | lol
yeah, just bass boost. |
Proworks31
08.30.11 | Yeah, R&B is good. I find ahh, I think its electronic to be similar?
Shame you can't add custom presets from iTunes, that would be sick as all fuck. |
