Hardcore and metalcore albums that I've been listening to.

Just a list of hardcore and metalcore bands that I've been wading through as of late. Recs welcomed.
1 Mayday
Staplegun

Dark, monstrous metalcore that the band pioneered along with bands like Integrity, Starkweather and Rorschach. Their style is an amalgam of the former two bands.
2Trial
Are These Our Lives?

Think of Strife and Sick of It All with better song writing and better production. Hits home and hits hard.
3 No Escape
Just Accept It

Tim Singer of Deadguy's first band. He puts in one of the best perfomances on this CD. Expect more straight-up hardcore though.
4 Catharsis [US]
Passions

Integrity didn't invent the term, Holy Terror. These guys did. This was their best release.
5 Various Artists
Rebuilding Compilation

Guerilla Biscuits, No Escape, Turning Point and Burn. They only provided one song for this compilation but each song is one of the best, if not the best, that each band has put out. Essential purchase.
6This Day Forward
The Transient Effects of Light on Water

Sharp, melodic metalcore. The screamer is also a powerhouse.
7Faith/Void
Split

I've heard rumours that this split supposedly started the thrash metal movement. Either way it proves why MacKaye jnr. and co. will always own his older brother in the hardcore punk genre.
8 Disfear/Doomriders
Split

Disfear put out more melodic, Tragedy-level material. Doomriders become more like Entombed in the prime. Either it's bloody brilliant
9 Turning Point
1988 - 1991

Turning Point's entire discog. Proof that there slightly-emo tinged take on hardcore can stand the test of time.
10Undertow
Everything

Bass-heavy predecessors to Nineironspitfire and arguably created more of an impact in both terms of reputation and music. Some of the songs, particularly Noose, jar and shatter in a way reminiscent of Unbroken at their best.
11Cable
Gutter Queen

Complex, sludge-infested metalcore. Don't think complex in shred wankery though or odd time signatures. This fuses noise rock, sludge metal and hardcore in a very bizarre, powerful and endurance testing listen.
12 Pulling Teeth/Shin to Shin
Split

One song from Pulling Teeth and one song from Aaron Melnick's new band.
13 Pale Creation
Pale Creation EP

An interesting one this. The band first emerged several years ago in the nineties and created a s/t CD that was utter garbage. Move along twelve years and this is produced. Nick Brewer's voice has evolved into a harsher version of Paige Hamilton at his peak and the music is actually pretty damn good. Just don't expect it to leave a lasting impression.
14 Judge
What It Meant; The Complete Discography

Judge. Mike Judge and Porcell. They helped found the sound of the straight-edge metalcore movement. Particular standout cuts are Like You and Bringing It Down
15In My Eyes
Nothing to Hide

Militant straight-edge hardcore. It's supposed to be angry? Yes. It's supposed to be short? Yes. It's supposed to be fun? No. It's supposed to be melodic? Definitely not. Thankfully In My Eyes decided to ignore those last two points and created this beast.
16Achilles
Hospice

The more atmospheric twin to Engineer and the progeny of father Coalesce, this band makes catchy and surprisingly beautiful metalcore.
17Capsule [US]
Blue

The closest album that I've come across to sounding like Off Minor's Heat Death of the Universe except they mess about with ambience. Discordant, raging yet, at times, sombre musical beauty.
18Poison Idea
Feel The Darkness

Metallica covered these guys. Angry yet incessently memorable, nihilism has never been this enjoyable.
19 Septic Death
Crossed Out Twice

Horror hardcore and the band, along with GISM, that primarily influenced Integrity. Grungy, grimey and dirtier than Amebix stuck in toilet bowl.
20Drowningman
Rock and Roll Killing Machine

Take Deadguy's sound and add lashings of emo. Truly one of the best tech metalcore and indeed metalcore albums ever.
