2011: Overlooked Electronic Music

Even if you've heard of them, you probably haven't been hearing rabout them enough
Black Square

Near the top of ponton, rev and deviant.'s list, but still no reveiw and only
10 votes.
Plastic World

Virtually ignored entirely
3Deniz Kurtel
Music Watching Over Me

Ultra smooth to listen listen to, this is an lp well worth investigating
Tales from the Bunka

Fantastic track and solid remixes
5DJ Shadow
The Less You Know The Better

So much better than the Outsider, far too few seem willing to recognize just
how many fantastic tracks come on this LP. Whereas nearly all other artists
seem content to fly off into their own worlds, I am contended to know Josh
Davis seems more than ever a man of the people, and he is still one hell of
a producer
6Dominik Eulberg

Another great release by someone who up until today wasn't even in the
database. Nature sounds elevate the sounds heard here to the next level.
Nothing Divides Us Here

An ultrasmooth listen from start to finish, it has taken people a while to
begin to recognize what this album's been able to accomplish. is a highlight

(see review)
9James Zabiela
Blame just listen ..
10John Heckle
4th Dimension EP

With 3 eps and 2 lps released this year, heckle has been busy.
11Kassem Mosse

A fun set of tracks which I enjoy in spite of it not being the kind of music I
generally enjoy
12London Elektricity

elektricity will keep me warm caps off a 'soundtrack for your lazy afternoon
instead of your action packed night out' -clercqie

These jam banders are always a fun time. Relaxing and going with the
flow, these guys are singlehandedly reinventing what it means to be a jam

A fun set of tracks which I enjoy in spite of it not being the kind of music I
generally enjoy [2]
15No Regular Play
Fall Up to the Sky

Weak title track holds back this ep, but both the remixed and original track
'lookin' start to show that 'owe me' is not all this band is good for
16Paul Kalkbrenner
Icke Wieder

Not as good as berlin calling, but so solid and easy on the ears it's
incredibly lukewarm reception seems to play into the theory that critics are
more harsh against commercially successful albums

Plaid always manages to deliver one way or another
18Robag Wruhme
Thora Vukk

A strange set of sounds that works almost shockingly well
19Tangerine Dream
The Angel of the West Window

While they're not as innovative as they once were, they're still making
great music
Reworked / Remixed

A major set of collaborations that elevate trentemoller's sound quite nicely
