|Let's Talk Got And Music|
Obviously season 4 spoilers
|1|| ||The Dismemberment Plan|
Emergency and I
These last 2 episodes Children and the Battle of Castle Black were both fun to watch, but the episodes both were weak in structure.
|2|| ||The War on Drugs|
Lost in a Dream
Castle Black episode's problem was the #s didn't match what was going on in the screen. They were up against about 100,300 people (North 100,000 South = 300) The way the crows were acting, you think they had 3Xs the #s) Everyone was shifting around their people and swapping leadership. It just lacked any real sense of urgency. Fun epidode to watch, well shot, but still.
Millions Now Living Will Never Die
So this last episode "Children" was again watchable, but lazy in strucure. I blame the writers of this show not properly building up the characters. Granted, because they choose to have the battle on episode 9, they were forced to tie up everyone in the last episode.
|4||There Will Be Fireworks|
The Dark, Dark Bright
Dany just quickly learned she is unfit to tame dragons, and within 10 minutes went through that story arc. Bran just woke up near the end of his destination. Briane just woke up next to Arya, and the writers just cut to Tyrion's prison escape. Stanis just popped up and attacked Mance out of the blue
Arya's arc was the only one fleshed out in the episode. Props for the battle between Brianee and the Hound, that was brutal and very well shot. Tyrion's escape was captivating to watch. Give credit where credit is due.
|6|| ||Talk Talk |
In the end, both were decent to watch, but episode 9 needed to speed up the tempo and 10 really needed to slow down
Remain in Light
That would leave my favorite 3 episodes of season 4 with- The Mountain and the Viper, Mockingbird, and The Purple Wedding. What are yours? BTW, why was the Mountain being kept alive? In the books was he needed to be alive til Tyrion's execution, or did Cersi feel obligated to keeping him alive? they did not explain that in the books.
|8|| ||About Music|
I'm getting bored of most metal (- black metal oddly enough) Please give me recs with blues, rocking albums, or mid tempo albums. Thanks, I appreciate it. My 2 favorite albums this year is Trophy Scars and War on Drugs.
