Atari 10.10.13	hey man not much just drinking coffee and gonna jam some stuff from this list. how you been? I've heard 12 and I remember liking it but haven't heard anything else. 10 sounds cool can't go wrong with some good singer/songwriter folk

Do you mean two albums out of the ambient ones or out of all of these? Assuming you mean the latter, I'd say check out 1 and 8. Coryell is one of my favourite jazz/fusion guitarists and I think you'd really like his style and 8 is some classic psych.

JamieTwort 10.10.13	@Atari: Sweet. I've been good thanks, I was away last week so wasn't on Sput that much. Yeah 10 is great, I'm a big fan of Pioulard, I particularly like the way he incorporates field recordings into his music.
sumyunguy 10.10.13	props for 1, call to the higher consciousness is amazing! never could get into 8, sounds like a jumbled, psychedelic mess, much like early 70's Sun Ra. Dave Stewart is god otherwise.

JamieTwort 10.10.13	Yeah I have, there are definitely some similarities between the two but I prefer Pioulard due to the ambient influences in his sound. His new album, Hymnal is also really good, it'll probably be pretty high on my 2013 list.
Atari 10.10.13	Cool, I'll prolly just check out his entire discog cause I'm digging it. And yeah this definitely sounds different than elliott smith i just hear some similarities in the vocals
JamieTwort 10.10.13	His whole discog is pretty consistent from what I've heard. He's also done some good collaborations, particularly the Praveen & Benoit EP, which is some great 'folktronica'.
JamieTwort 10.10.13	7 needs more love. First track is one of the best drone/ambient pieces I've heard this year.

ResidentNihilist 10.10.13	That Gimu album is awesome. Great list though I will rec you; Markus Guentner - 1981/Doppelgaenger Danny Kirwan - Second Chapter Considering your tastes you should get a big kick out of both.

I've actually been meaning to check out that Danny Kirwan album seeing as I'm huge fan of of the Green-Kirwan Fleetwood Mac line-up. In fact I considered buying that album a while ago when I found it on vinyl but decided against it as it would have been a blind purchase as I haven't heard any of his solo stuff.
ResidentNihilist 10.10.13	Cool dude, if you get a chance also try Midnight In San Juan by Danny Kirwan as well. It's a bit more rock orientated than Second Chapter but just as good.
JamieTwort 10.10.13	Ok I'll probably check that one too. Just looked at Second Chapter on Rateyourmusic and I was surprised to see no blues in the genre tags. I guess his solo stuff is a bit of a departure from his sound during the Then Play On-era of Fleetwood Mac, which should be interesting to here.
