scissorlocked
04.05.10 | Any list with post- on its name needs ISIS!!!! |
Prophet178
04.05.10 | Wow super fail putting anything above Godspeed, especially Jesu and Moving Mountains.
Obviously needs DMST, Mono, Talk Talk, etc etc
And ISIS is post-metal wow stfu. |
SeaAnemone
04.05.10 | everything Prophet says is right when it concerns post-rock, and I can truthfully say that without an ounce of hyperbole. |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | lol prophet godspeed isn't that good...at least not as good as the ones i put ahead of them, least of all Yndi Halda |
Poet
04.05.10 | lol@isis post rock
get pg.lost. and I agree Godspeed is a bit overrated.
Listen to Mono and then all you need is them and Yndi Halda. |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | and yea Isis is post-metal, which is why they aren't on this list, but they're still good
what i meant to say prophet was that i don't think godspeed is as good as the other bands here, they just don't appeal to me as much as the 5 after them |
scissorlocked
04.05.10 | So where are explosions in the sky?
|
Prophet178
04.05.10 | Dude, you don't know how hard I'm raging right now after you saying that.
First off, if Lift is the only Godspeed you've heard, you started at the wrong place and you have no authority to say they're bad. Listen to Slow Riot and F# (in that order) then re-access your opinion/life.
|
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | haven't really listened to them scissorlocked, they're definitely a band that I'll check out though |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | i didn't say godspeed was bad, they just don't appeal to me as much as the other 5, i think they're quite good, if a bit overated |
NeutralThunder12
04.05.10 | Yndi halda is great, but godspeed is better sorry. |
Prophet178
04.05.10 | Go listen to Slow Riot and try to tell me it's not one of the best post-rock releases ever.
|
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | i've listened to moya off of that prophet and it was great, but i personally still enjoy the other 5 more than that, especially Yndi Halda, i'm not saying they're bad and i'm not saying that I don't like them, they're just not my favorite |
Prophet178
04.05.10 | You're crazy man. And how could you only listen to one half of a 30 minute EP lol. |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | cuz it didn't impress me enough to merit listening to the other track |
Prophet178
04.05.10 | Ahhhhh I need to leave Sputnik for a while before I rage myself to death. |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | lol prophet i don't know why you're getting so angry, its my opinion and i stand by it |
WeepingBanana
04.05.10 | i think prophet is raging just because slow riot really isn't anything special unless you listen to BBFIII.
that track really is just... wow |
SeaAnemone
04.05.10 | lol at having a definitive opinion from half of a product. i mean srsly. |

04.05.10 | Yndi Halda is great, but in no way better than Godspeed.
And Moving Mountains shouldn't even be on this list. |
jesusjuice1179
04.05.10 | @SA: i still think it's good, but you've listened to every album you've ever picked up all the way through, even if it was terribly bad, which I am in no way appling to godspeed |

iwrestledabigmaconce
04.06.10 | God Is An Astronaut! The album "All Is Violent, All Is Bright" would be their best. It has symphonic, electonica, and post-rock influences. |
