I saw Mastodon and thought they were flawless instrumentally, but the vocals were awful, and they didn't really deviate from what you'd expect which for me is what makes the best shows so special. |

11.28.11 | both were in good form last friday. i love the Hunter but was pleasantly surprised when mastodon mixed it up for their set. Puciato also seems to have got his voice back (he struggled when they opened up for deftones earlier in the year)

My shortlist for best shows is AFI, Ash Borer/Ruin Lust, Thou/WitTR, Peter Murphy, NIN, and Immortal.
I've been to a GWAR show for kicks, and that was pretty fun, hah. |
