The House That Jack Built
Thoughts from those of you who saw it? Only LvT movie I have seen is Antichrist, so I can't really consider myself a fan of his but damn, I thought this movie was absolutely killer (hah). Yeah, it was pretty brutal to watch, but the philosophical musings in between the bloodshed were excellent, the atmosphere was impeccably sustained throughout the movie and its ability to make you laugh during moments of absolute horror is pretty amazing. Matt Dillon carried the movie on his shoulders in utterly compelling fashion and overall, this was a home run for von Trier. But man...that hunting scene... |
