Ashcrash's 2017 List/Anniversary/Announcement
A three-part saga. I published my annual Top 50 write-up a few weeks ago on a separate blog, but after that huge endeavor, I just needed space. Couldn't muster up the energy to summarize each blurb here, and it always feels weird to put most of my effort into the full piece when Sputnik's list entry character limits won't let me republish that work here in its entirety. Instead of combing through it and snipping out synopses, I'll just give you the releases here and link the full write-up of my thoughts in the comments. Almost couldn't choose a better day for it, as I just passed my eight-year anniversary as a member of this wormhole yesterday. But that in turn comes with an announcement: not to pull a Sowing on everybody, but for the foreseeable future (and it's kind of already started), I won't be as active on here as I used to be. I'll still be around and contactable, just not all that involved as I focus my time and efforts elsewhere on that nebulous thing we call "real life".
