Relinquished
11.19.15 | are u feeling alright physically? |
ashcrash9
11.19.15 | Should also probably mention this is my first breakup so this is completely new to me. Really underestimated how much it would affect me. |
ashcrash9
11.19.15 | yeah, I'm tired all the time cause I still have mono but compared to a few weeks ago, I'm significantly better. |
zakalwe
11.19.15 | debilitating combination of strep throat and mono?
I know how you feel, I felt crippled after maiming myself on a sheet of paper and gashing my finger to shreds. My mind instantly thought 'blood transfusion needed' but a plaster sufficed.

11.19.15 | focus on yourself, its all you can do during a break up let alone when you aren't well physically
once you are well physically you will be clearer mentally |
DoofusWainwright
11.19.15 | If you've got the time and the mental reserves to post here then you're fine
it's when fellow sputters post something like this and then disappear for a month I worry |
BallsDeep
11.19.15 | The closest thing I've had was Glandular fever + shoulder surgery +minor depression resulting in bedrest for around 3 months, thankfully no girl problems to complicate things further but all i can say is - keep your head up and looking forward, take each day as it comes and don't over analyze your life or yourself, remember that the vast majority of first time relationships don't last and in your case your not to blame for it failing whatsoever, things can only get better from here and you'll probably have new found appreciation for the smaller pleasures in life and you'll also come out of this a more resilient person.
Anyway I'll leave you with one more cheesy quote that is actually quite true "In life it's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters" |
BallsDeep
11.19.15 | Also I listened to a lot of Crowbar, Alice in Chains, Agalloch, Ulver, The Antlers etc during those months in true depressed fashion |
DoofusWainwright
11.19.15 | Life often sh*ts on you in threes, I remember my gf of 5 years splitting with me, breaking my collarbone playing football and having to go to a make or break job interview all in the space of a month. All out of nowhere, horrific. |

Feel better, my friend. When you're physically well, make yourself get out and do stuff, only way to get feel better mentally. |

11.19.15 | Damn, that's really shitty. Hang in there man :) |
Rolling Girl
11.19.15 | Sounds rough man, I'm sure things will improve soon.
Yellowcard never fails to put me in a good mood, maybe "Southern Air" and "Paper Walls"? |
WatchItExplode
11.19.15 | Listen to some Alien Ant Farm bro, perk you right up. |
Spacesh1p
11.19.15 | That Smooth Criminal cover shouldn't be good, but it is. |
BeyondCosby
11.19.15 | I agree with guitarded_chuck. Focus on yourself and making yourself a better person. Try not to dwell too much on who she was or trying to "save" her because most people who date depressed people feel that way. Think about things that you've wanted to fix in your life and then make those improvements. |
BeyondCosby
11.19.15 | ^agreed. If you need to talk or anything let me know. I've experienced all sides and all types of it. |
