I mean he's just getting rid of it on a federal level. Canada has the best overall public education system in the world and it doesn't touch the federal goverment (and our federal government plays a way "bigger" role than in the US system).
Also your public education system should probably just be scrapped together.
I really have no good opinion over welfare, I know it gets incredibly abused where I live and he has said that it wouldn't be phased out for a long time.

Unfortunately CEOs are usually too greedy and corrupted that hurts the little people working for their company, but they should care about them. Bill Moyers has had a couple programs relating to all these issues of the lobbyist, which is sad and interesting. I am going to vote for Obama, but even Obama has had some issues revolving around the whole situation. And people sometimes do forget the president makes all the promises, and probably wants to go through with them, but he has to go through a senate and house before things officially get passed. Yes, their people that abuse the system, but at the top, the top 1% are abusing the system of capitalism, poor people abuse the liberal system because they can. Obama doesn't use religion in his policies

01.29.12 | 'people bashing romney for being a mormon:: how would you feel if people didnt vote for a certain

*bangs head against wall* PLEASE don't make a shit comparison like this. Mormonism is a set of beliefs
that the adherents of it subscribe to, and therefore it is logical to think that they might be swayed
by these beliefs when making decisions. ATHEISM IS NOT A BELIEF SYSTEM, therefore an 'atheist' has no
related beliefs that could influence his decision making.

jefflebowski
01.29.12 | 'you really think religion should be kept out of politics, then keep it out of your choices in elections'
it's a snappy way of putting it, but still wrong. The reason I consider religion in my choice of candidates is exactly because I think it should be kept out of politics - if i think that a candidate's religious views will seriously influence their legislative choices (ie. Rick Santorum) then i will not be predisposed to vote for them |
jefflebowski
01.29.12 | basically what vesper said, but in a more long-winded way |
wacknizzle
01.29.12 | fuck romney, santorum and just about every possible republican canidate their all using religon as a fucking ploy the pricks who think thinks being a christian means you shit sunshine like you picked the right religon. And there is a difference between religion and faith and they have no place in politics. Religion causes war. But we like that because war is big business. |

01.29.12 | "how would you feel if people didnt vote for a certain candidate because he was an atheist?"
why do you think an atheist doesnt have a chance of becoming president in the next 50 years?
to be able to legitimately believe in mormonism (or any religion for that matter) is a weakness and allows for poor judgement on matters other than just religion
and if you think that their religion wont govern how they run the country you are seriously seriously mistaken |
