11.10.12 | This was very hard to make. I narrowed it down to songs which I can remember blowing my mind the first
time I heard them. As in, I had never heard anything like it beforehand.
Around 7 was when I discovered sputnik (2009), and the last six seem to pretty accurately represent my
matured tastes, although lately my taste has been a little bit more hardcore punk/post metal. |
Fluttertrank
11.10.12 | yeah some good, some bad. i remember when i liked 1 haha.
the song i consider that basically changed my taste is Peace Sells. no joke. |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | wow, honestly im listening to that for the first time now. Ive listened to Rust in Peace countless times but I've never bothered with Peace Sells But Who's Buying |
Fluttertrank
11.10.12 | really? wow, i love Peace Sells just as much as rust in peace. if not more. |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | well i was never a huge megadeth fan. always kind of steered clear of thrash metal in general because i associated it with an annoying stereotype. ive listened to quite a bit of it recently though and i really like it. have you heard aspid's extravasation? |
Fluttertrank
11.10.12 | oh yeah man, Aspid is great. i was a pretty huge thrash fan when i was 15 and stuff. |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | haha when i was 14/15 is basically when i went through a taste renaissance. i think everything after 7 on this list was listened to between those two years. |
demigod93
11.10.12 | cool list. Metallica and Nirvana are pretty much what got me into music. still love em. |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | i guess yeah thats pretty typical. i listened to both of them as well when i was younger but pop punk music really got me started. |
demigod93
11.10.12 | yeah, those guys and Green Day are what did it for me, with some help from da Floyd
and some unmentionables haha. |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | hahah lots of unmentionables. interestingly enough radiohead and pink floyd are sort of what i grew up on (from my dad) but i never picked them up by myself until later on. |
demigod93
11.10.12 | i never heard Radiohead until I was like 17, i mean I knew Creep and a couple of the Bends but that was it
Bought OK Computer from HMV and the rest is history. then a few weeks later I bought Kid A and fell in love completely |

11.10.12 | How come no one has submitted a news article about the new Blink EP? |
StagnantWords
11.10.12 | 11 is fucking awesome |
ShadowAmI
11.10.12 | right now i think 11 is a little over the top, but it really got me to appreciate music in that vein |
