Top 5 Anime Series

Haven't seen a whole lot, but these are some of my favourites.
1Single Mothers
Single Mothers

DEATH NOTE: Superb story, even if I feel like it drags a bit in the middle. Very
intelligent, with an intriguing plot, great characters and some excellent twists. The
only downside is that I feel like it's only something you can watch through once. It
doesn't make the same impact the second time around.
2The Sword
Apocryphon

FLCL (FOOLY COOLY): I have seen this series at least four times through and I still
don't know why I like it. Perhaps it's because it's one of the most unique series I've
ever seen, with some great characters, art and animation. It's also only six
episodes long, so it's something you could watch in an afternoon. Not to mention
my favourite soundtrack in an anime series.
3Dark Time Sunshine
ANX

COWBOY BEBOP: One of the most stylish series made. Something that doesn't
seem too exceptional when you're watching it, but you always find yourself
reflecting on it later. Well, I did anyway. Excellent.
4Godspeed You! Black Emperor
'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: Brilliant story, with some amazing characters. Coupled
with the movie (Conqueror Of Shamballa), it's probably one of my favourite
endings to a series ever made. Very emotional.
5Wolfmother
Wolfmother

DRAGONBALL / DRAGONBALL Z: I hope counting both of these isn't too much of a
stretch. I'd like to say the whole universe if it wasn't for the fact that GT was
terrible. Anyway, I grew up watching these and they stuck with me. If you've seen
this series (which I'm assuming a lot of you have) then you'll know it doesn't really
need an explanation.
6Young And In The Way
I Am Not What I Am

HONOURABLE MENTIONS:
Hunter X Hunter - There's a large drop in quality once you get past the halfway
mark. Everything preceding that is really exciting viewing. One of those rare,
adventurous anime series that keeps you hooked.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - Not really a huge mecha fan, but this is probably the
one series to do it the best. Awesome story and character with some great twists.
Not really keen on the ending.
Cromartie High School - Probably the funniest, most bizarre series I've ever seen.
Plus, it has Freddie Mercury in it. Not even kidding.
