10.11.09 | Love #'s 5, 8, 9 and 10. Like #'s 1, 3, 4 and 7. Can't say I have anything against the other bands. List wins.
Try out The Mars Volta, Fair To Midland and/or Coheed and Cambria, if you haven't already. |

10.11.09 | (i meant 8 only is in my top rated) rest is ok, except 5, which isnt. |

10.11.09 | This list is borderline fail, but bands like 5,3,2,1 are passable at best. 7,9,10 are great though. |

ahayes137
10.12.09 | 9 and 10 are good. 7 is ok but not my favorite |
AnneFrank
10.12.09 | 2 and 3 sucks.
never listened to opeth.
Muse I find overrated.
AFI's old shit wasn't bad but they have gotten shittier through out the years just like everyone else from gilman.

10.14.09 | yeah i'm a girl. I only have Damnation by Opeth i but i really like it. |
eclectic
10.14.09 | You have some good stuff on here.
You only have Damnation by Opeth, have you heard their heavier stuff? |
LouderNow7
10.19.09 | No where do i start ? |
eclectic
10.19.09 | While I agree with the above comment about avoiding Watershed (its easily their worst album imo) you can check out specific songs from it. The Lotus Eater and Coil are good, in particular the former for its heavier vocals (apologies, but I am unsure how you go with death growls).
For albums check out: Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries and Still Life. |
LouderNow7
10.20.09 | Yea i'll check em out..yea not really into the heavier death growls |
mareep
10.20.09 | opeth were the band that got me into death metal vocals, i think they're a good starting point for you in that regard. especially blackwater park or still life |
eclectic
10.20.09 | ^seconded on every point |
Mordecai21
10.20.09 | Well she likes A Day to Remember so harsh vocals shouldn't be too much of a problem, and Opeth's growls are some of the best in the business. Maybe Ghost Reveries would be better for her. |
eclectic
10.20.09 | wow, I only just realised I told her Coil had heavy vocals, damn.
Apologies, I meant Lotus Eater for its growls, not Coil, which is acoustic. |
LouderNow7
10.21.09 | Yea i dont mind still life..any other suggestions ? |
mareep
10.21.09 | ghost reveries and blackwater park if you want more opeth
