You Filthy Hippies

So I'm kind of like Eric Cartman I don't like hippies very much but I do enjoy some of their music sometimes. Below are some bands that I feel are tailor made for hippies, both old and new. I am not an expert on hippie rock so remember this is my interpretation of what filthy hippies like. Flame away, hippie loving bastards.
1Phish
Farmhouse

Probably the least hippie of their albums. This is actually a great album. The title track is all kinds of rule, and Heavy Things jams hard.
2Trampled By Turtles
Songs From a Ghost Town

These guys are from Duluth, MN, a town of about 100,000 that is overrun with liberals, hipsters, and hippies. They are kind of a bluegrassy folk jam band. This album rules. You Tube the songs At Your Window and Whiskey.
3moe.
Wormwood

To be honest the only song I really know from them is Kyle's Song off this but its awesome.
4The Grateful Dead
Skeletons From The Closet : The Best Of

RIDIN THAT TRAIN HIGH ON COCAINE
5Dave Matthews Band
Live at Mile High Music Festival

Ok is studio stuff is somehow the love of frat boys but his live stuff is straight up hippie jamming.
6Widespread Panic
Til The Medicine Takes

A favorite of unwashed modern day hippies.
7Jefferson Airplane
Surrealistic Pillow

Grace Slick was a dirty dirty hippie. White Rabbit is one of the coolest songs ever.
8Janis Joplin
Pearl

Unlike Grace Slick, Janis was a filthy hippie that I wouldn't have drilled had I been alive then, but she was also a great, yet slightly overrated cause she died, singer.
9Iron Butterfly
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN BABY
10Joan Baez
Farewell Angelina

Diamonds and Rust is a cool jam.
11Joni Mitchell
Blue

Yet another really ugly hippie who could sing like the birds.
12Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
Deja Vu

I recently saw these hippies live (minus Young). They are now really old hippies.
13The Byrds
Mr. Tambourine Man

The American Beatles? LMFAO
14The Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground and Nico

Ok this is probably more hipster than hippie but don't care.
15The Black Crowes
Before the Frost...Until the Freeze

Ok so their early stuff is just awesome rawk but their latest stage of their career is filled with barefoot hippie dirty jamming.
16The String Cheese Incident
A String Cheese Incident

At my second job I work at a restaurant filled with dirty hippie line cooks. One of them bragged about dropping acid to watch these guys. Fucking hippies.
17Wilco
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Yeah probably way off here I just always think hippie when I think of this band, whether thats right or wrong. By the way I think they're awesome.
18The Flaming Lips
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Oh Wayne you overrated filthy hippie. I know alot of people like these guys, don't fault them for it, but I do not. At all.
19Frank Zappa
Sheik Yerbouti

Anybody that names their kids Dweezil and Moonbeam or whatever the fuck they're called is a filthy God Damn Hippie.
20Umphrey's McGee
Anchor Drops

Another favorite of the hippie line cooks I know. Fucking hippies.
