I know the year is far from over, but here's some not-so-new awesome music that I've come across or been introduced to:
1Incubus
A Crow Left Of The Murder...

A great album that took me, as a fan of Incubus only familiar with their older work, by pleasant surprise. Why did I wait so long to check this out? I daresay now it's their most interesting work to me.

In A Cave

Cool band from Athens, GA. I've been getting into more Southern music, it seems.

Pink Moon

An excellent, excellent album from start to finish.
4The Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground And Nico

Had always heard about it - it's the instrumentation and the noise I love. Some of the shouted parts really stick with me.
5My Bloody Valentine
Tremolo

One of THE dreamiest ways to spend 17 minutes is to listen to this. Loveless is amazing, but this is truly gorgeous stuff.
