Shiver Worthy Moments

Music is kind of just fucking awesome. These are my top 25 (in no order) rmoments in music where I just got shivers it moved me so much. What are ryours?
1Radiohead
Kid A

The ending to "The National Anthem" when everything just seems like it's going to hell with the brass blowing their chops on this
crazy shit.
2Ramona Falls
Intuit

The chorus where the singer screams "I SAY FEVER!!!" The music video for this is also pretty sick.
3Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind

The drums at the very beginning of "Semi-Charmed Life". Maybe not really "shiver worthy" but this is one of my favorite songs
ever, so gotta love it.
4Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

The entire song "Jesus". Really, it's basically a moment. I love all of it.
5Brand New
Deja Entendu

Two in this one, both from "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows":
The first six notes that repeat throughout the song.
From the moment they start "I lie for only you" until the end of the song. So great.
6Trophy Scars
Never Born, Never Dead

What's better than this EP? Putting an small audio clip from my favorite tv show in one of the songs. At the end the small
conversation pulled from Lost between Penny and Desmond in "Angels" is one of my favorite moments. I was so surprised when
I first heard it.
7XTC
Skylarking

Towards the end of the song "Dear God" when he starts singing "I won't believe in Heaven and Hell. No saints, no sinners, no
devil as well" until the end of the song.
8Bomb the Music Industry!
Vacation

In "Campaign for a Better Next Summer" when the song finally gets crazy and the band starts screaming "It felt just like
vacation time". The first BtMI! album I heard, so this song being the first I heard of them gave me a very good impression of
what was to follow.
9dredg
El Cielo

Yeah, you guessed it, the chorus in "The Canyon Behind Her". Basically one of my favorite song moments. Probably one of the
first moments I actually got shivers listening to a song.
10The Gaslight Anthem
Handwritten

The guitar riff in "Keepsake". Yep I love it.
11Japandroids
Celebration Rock

Okay, put yourself in a college kid's body. Then think of all of the fucking awesome nights you had then. Then think of the
moment in "Younger Us" when he sings "Give me that night you were already in bed said fuck it got up to drink with me instead".
Favorite moment of the entire Japandroids tracklist (which isn't much, but still.)
12Deftones
White Pony

Two in this one as well:
The moment in "Knife Prty" when the woman singer just starts screaming as Chino keeps singing. It's haunting. I hated it upon
first listen, but when I listened to the album over and over, I got used to it and eventually really enjoyed it. Beautiful.
Then of course, the entire "Change (In the House of Flies)". My favorite Deftones song and my favorite song ever. I love it. I
still get shivers listening to it.
13Manchester Orchestra
Simple Math

The chorus in "Virgin". The child choir singing with the band just gives me shivers, not really sure why. Like "Knife Prty" it's
haunting.
14Andrew Jackson Jihad
Knife Man

The very end of "Big Bird" when he screams "I AM A KNIIIIIIIIFE". I really didn't care too much for this band at first, but after
hearing this song, it changed my mind about them. Love 'em.
15 Peter Gabriel
Peter Gabriel

"Solsbury Hill" is the first song I remember hearing. I know I heard stuff before it, but this goes as far back as I can actually
remember. The riff to this song just gets something. I guess you could call it nostalgia.
16Porcupine Tree
In Absentia

The opening and closing to "Trains" with the claps and snaps. God I love it.
17Porcupine Tree
Fear of a Blank Planet

Two with this guy as well:
The very beginning to the album in "Fear of a Blank Planet". After hearing the typing and then that laugh, it honestly freaked
me out the first time I heard it.
The ending of "Sleep Together" with the orchestra. I fucking love orchestras in music like this, so when this came on, I nearly
jizzed myself. Yes.
18Porcupine Tree
Deadwing

Again with the "the entire song" thing. "Lazarus".
19Streetlight Manifesto
Everything Goes Numb

I don't know why, but my favorite thing Streetlight has ever done is the entire second verse into the chorus of "We Are the
Few".
20Say Anything
...Is a Real Boy

Again, two from this one:
Every verse in "Yellow Cat (Slash) Red Cat".
In "Orgy of Critics" when Bemis screeches "You're so perfect to please us, you make all the right noise!"
21Say Anything
Say Anything

The very end of "Ahhh...Men" when the tone shifts and Max starts singing "There's a crack in the edge at the end of the
world..."
22 The Wonder Years
Suburbia: I've Given All, and Now I'm Nothing

The chorus to "Hoodie Weather". Not really sure why this song means so much to me, but it just hits a spot.
23The National
Alligator

The chorus of "Abel". Yeah, again. "WELL MY MIND'S NOT RIGHT MY MIND'S NOT RIGHT MY MIND'S NOT RIGHT MY MIND'S NOT
RIGHT"
24La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

In "Bury Your Flame" when the singer scream/growl/screeches "We found out that we're only layers of skin hiding bone".
25The Hold Steady
Separation Sunday

The opening riff to "How a Resurrection Really Feels". This actually might be my favorite song ever, and I just get so happy
when it comes on shuffle.
