| 10 Good Artists/bands That Got Horribly Shite: Exhibit C
Something something good something something something shite. | 10 | | Oasis Standing on the Shoulder of Giants
Most of Oasis' success and legendary status is down to A) their classic first two albums and B) the in-fighting between the leading men the Gallagher brothers generating continuous interest. Beady Eye, which is essentially OAsis minus Noel Gallagher, have failed to make as much an impact as Noel was their primary songwriter. High Flying Birds, Noel's project, is consequently much, much better and definitely worth checking out. | 9 | | Interpol Interpol
By no means an utterly shite album, the band's self-titled fourth effort just lacked in heart where previous efforts performed with aplomb. | 8 | | Biffy Clyro Only Revolutions
Though never really shite, the Biffy's fifth album saw them saking off their darker, proggier roots and venturing into radio-friendly sounds. The commercial success was worth their while but followup 'Opposites' was a disastrous double album that had a few decent songs but ultimately buckled under the weight of its own ambition. | 7 | | Nas Nastradamus
Of course, when you make an album that is considered a landmark in a genre, you're constantly under pressure to live up to such a standard and few ever succeed in keeping with the hyperbolic acclaim. Unfortunately, Nas' fourth album was an exercise in failure. He got better again, but this album is definitively shite. | 6 | | Goo Goo Dolls Dizzy Up The Girl
Ugh, 'Iris' such shite. Before this, the Goo Goo Dolls were a pretty awesome punk/alt rock band signed to Metal Blade. They had already achieved success but went one step further with their sixth album, which still had some pretty cool songs but they just got shite after that. | 5 | | Michael Jackson Dangerous
The King of Pop's disappointing followup to the amazing 'Bad' leaned more towards that title. 'Dangerous' is still not a bag album with some great tracks but also a lot of shite. Subsequent albums had even more shite. Not the only reason why Jackson didn't bow out on a high note but still... | 4 | | Prince Come
Okay, so this album was really just Prince fulfilling contract commitments with Warner Brothers, but people were still obviously going to buy the record and fans deserve better than this. Then again, a lot of what came after was shoddy as well. His prowess as a stage performer even at the age of 56 is still amazing, but his albums since the mid nineties have been mostly forgettable. | 3 | | Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion II
The weaker of the Illusion albums also heralded the demise of the classic band. Matt Sorum was already in place of Steven Adler but following the departure if Izzy Stradlin the band was just never same. The next album was a passable covers record but then came the most talked about hiatus from album recording in history. Back in '08, 'Chinese Democracy', whilst a decent album in its own right, fropped and did not live up to the band's previous successes. The name Guns N' Roses means nothing now, just Axl shite-ing on a legacy. | 2 | | Slash Apocalyptic Love
Legendary axeman Slash really made committed faux pas here. Not the worst album ever but the lack of decent hooks and memorable songs makes this one for hardcore Slash fans only. At least Myles Kennedy's vox are alright here. Not up to either of their standards though. | 1 | | Cryptopsy Once Was Not
With their spectacular sophomore record 'None So Vile', Cryptopsy proved themselves as one of the greatest death metal acts of all time and whilst that can never be taken from them, they are also the centre of death metal's worst catastrophe. 'Once Was Not' is not a terrible album by any means but it is workmanlike and unmemorable. However, what came next was beyond the boundaries of abominable shite. 'The Unspoken King' was essentially Cryptopsy gone deathcore. Vile and certainly not in a good way, this duo of albums have been slightly made up for with their recent self-titled release. Forgiven but not forgotten, I say... | |

TBH I was never big on Oasis besides their first two albums, just never lived up to them imo | LepreCon
08.19.14 | (The hostility is a sad and lame attempt to be funny by being overly and uncharacteristically obnoxious. Clearly I fail at comedy but dammit I'm not gonna stop trying!!!1!)
P.S. Thanks for reading! | YakNips

08.19.14 | @LepreCon; I get your point, and yeah every GnR album Slash played in - besides that horrible Spaghetti Incident - is better, but Apocalyptic is pretty cool too, and to me it's better than Ain't Life Grand. | Funeralopolis

08.19.14 | morbid angel[3] | LepreCon
08.19.14 | ^ Already did In Flames and Weezer in the previous lists, some of those other bands I'm not even all that interested in/ never liked anyway so all their stuff is shite to me. However, Judas Priest, Rise Against, Opeth (though I don't consider anything they've done to really be shite) Tori Amos, Morbid Angel and PTH are definite candidates for the next list or future ones! | ExplosiveOranges
08.19.14 | 1 is kind of an odd pick, because most people think that The Unspoken King is their shite album. To each their own, though. | LepreCon
08.19.14 | The Unspoken King is their shitest, but they didn't suddenly get shite when it was released. Once Was Not is nowhere near as terrible but it was where the warning signs first showed up. For these lists I pick the album where the band STARTED to get shite in lieu of the sudden shitefest situation. | iBlue
08.19.14 | did you burzum? | LepreCon
08.19.14 | Nope! That's on the agenda now too, good call! | danielcardoso
08.19.14 | don't forget skid row, lepre | LepreCon
08.19.14 | ^Them too! I think that's almost the next list compiled now lol | xxm
08.19.14 | @LepreCon I'm sorry but I still love 4 even though admittedly most of his albums have not been up to par and another thing "Iris" is a good song(well to me anyways.) but other than that I will leave you alone. | LepreCon
08.19.14 | 'Scool, bro. Your opinion is yours, mine is mine. And mine is that Iris is shite. AS is Come. But I know lots of people who like them both so | xxm
08.19.14 | Alright, then glad we could agree to disagree. | LepreCon
08.19.14 | Or did I disagree to agree? Huh? Huh? You'll never know! :P | FrankieFrog
08.19.14 | Iris is fucking amazing. Fuck off. | LepreCon
08.19.14 | No it is shite. | xxm
08.20.14 | Well, thanks for the discussion anyways.
