Enough With The Post-hardcore Lists Already!

Nah, jk. List is my 10 essential post-hardcore bands. Yes, I realize they are all from pre-2000 and some of them lean towards emo. Cry about Refused and AtD-I all you want.
1Far
Water & Solutions

Slightly emo, these guys grew up in the same scene as the Deftones, but don't really compare musically other than the near whisper-quiet singing and full on belting
2Jawbox
For Your Own Special Sweetheart

Yep, it's here.
3Quicksand
Slip

Walter Schriefels, you da man!
4Hoover
The Lurid Traversal of Route 7

One of the most overlooked Dischord bands.
5Fugazi
13 Songs

Thanks, Ian.
6Drive Like Jehu
Yank Crime

Is that a gay thing?
7Shellac
At Action Park

Pretty grating.
8Rites of Spring
End on End

Pretty emo.
9Fuel (Emo)
Monuments to Excess

Don't know much about this band.
10Unwound
Leaves Turn Inside You

Noisay.
