Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antenna to the Heavens Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile Radiohead - In Rainbows (counting the 2nd disc) Aphrodite's Child - 666 Those the only ones I can think off the top of my head. 40 minutes is usually the sweet spot for me, anything over that is usually a specialized listen for when I'm in the mood for it.
killrobotmusic 08.19.09	I haven't fully heard these releases by The Early November and Miles Davis so I can't cimment on those. The Beatles self-titled is by far my favorite Beatles album because it featured such musical experimentation. I would say it would share #3's description. Deathconsciousness is a rad album if you're into lo-fi shoegaze/post-rock/whatever the hell else genres they are. Works as a double album because of the crazy concept that goes along with it.

Masochist 08.19.09	DT - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence Showbread - Anorexia Nervosa Not too many double albums that work well. 'Stadium Arcadium' would be a perfect example, I think...but every so often, someone gets it right.

I think it's the exception to the rule when a double release is truly amazing. All the more reason to consider what Guns and System did...

Not on iTunes, not on Amazon MP3...even the hard copy of 'Bath' goes for near $75.00 on Amazon. I suppose I'll have to grab both of those albums from Rapidshare or MediaFire....

Flaming Lips' Zareika was a good idea but nobody has the means to enjoy a quadruple album that you have to play simultaneously (I'm surprised they haven't released a mixed version of this so more people can enjoy it). The Early November's triple album was pretty week, especially compared to their earlier works that I would consider masterpieces for the pop/punk genre. Oh, and In Defense of the Genre was my most dissappointing listening experience of my life. 2 is great though.
TheGreatD17 08.19.09	Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life is easily the best double album of all time. Basically the degree to which it works just depends on talent and diverse songs.
BassDemon333 08.19.09	NIN's "The Fragile" should be here. Listen to it if you havent already. One of the greatest double albums ever. SOAD's double album was ok, but I only liked a few tracks off of each side. The self-titled will always beat anything they do I think. This might be mad, but i've never heard "The Wall" all the way through. Is it really that good?
