Doug's 2010: Part 1 Of 1

Just my top 10 albums of 2010, and my favourite EP's of the year. Yeah.
12The Tallest Man On Earth
Sometimes The Blues is Just a Passing Bird

Easily my favourite EP, Kristian Matsson has been unstoppable in 2010, creating two of my favourite releases in around 5
months!
11Inland Sea
Traitor

The second of my two favourite EP's of the year. This 10 part folk band will give you goosebumps with 6
part harmonies.
10Crystal Castles
Crystal Castles II

3.5: IM NOT IN LOVE.
9S. Carey
All We Grow

3.5: Because
8Lone Wolf
The Devil and I

4: This album is a hidden gem of 2010. Paul Marshall has produced an extremely refreshing album in
The Devil and I. Gorgeous guitar work is really the major highlight, as well as his mesmerizing voice.
7The Roots
How I Got Over

4: I generally don't like hip-hop, and I liked this, soooooo
6Silje Nes
Opticks

4: Why haven't you listened to this yet? A beautiful sounding voice, post rock influences, sensational
instrumentalist and good looks. Why haven't you checked her out?
5Laura Marling
I Speak Because I Can

4: Young, naive and her whole future ahead, yet this girl can write songs like she has experienced the worst of life for a whole
2000 years. The song writing is immense, and shows that her future is a very bright one indeed.
4The Gaslight Anthem
American Slang

4: Yes, it's no 59' Sound. But American Slang has a whole other purpose, which is to prove that the
Gaslight Anthem are in fact one of the most ridiculously awesome bands going around. And that
purpose is served well with American Slang.
3Kings of Leon
Come Around Sundown

4.5: After the disappointment of the Only By the Night, Kings of Leon have rediscovered whatever it was that made them
tick with Come Around Sundown. From the post rock guitar drone to the very southern and guitar twangy "Back Down
South", Come Around Sundown proves that Kings of Leon are once again Kings.
2Foals
Total Life Forever

4.5: Total Life Forever is pretty much indescribable. The guitar work is jizz worthy, the vocals are jizz
worthy and the production makes you jizz. Ok I lied, you can describe this album, and with only one
word: Jizz.
1The Tallest Man On Earth
The Wild Hunt

5/5: What can be said about this record, other than the fact that it is perfect? From the endless yearning of Matsson's
voice to the ridiculously lush guitar work, The Wild Hunt is a cocktail of emotions that tug without relenting.
