Nostalgia
Stuff I loved when I was in Jr. High. Not really great music, but I still give it respect for really getting me into better bands. |
| 1 | | Linkin Park Hybrid Theory
you knew this would be on here. First "screaming" I ever heard was in One Step Closer. and the dude remains a hella good screamer: too bad he never does it anymore. |
| 2 | | Disturbed Ten Thousand Fists
I still go back to this from time to time. Stricken was the first metal song I ever learned to play on guitar. |
| 3 | | Newsboys Shine: The Hits
It's simplistic. It's boring. It's shallow. It lacks creativity. When I listen to it nowadays, I marvel at how fucking easy the guitar parts are, and how I used to have trouble with them. But they're the first band I ever liked (3rd grade), and this was my first "favorite album." |
| 4 | | Red End of Silence
they're still one of my favorite bands. |
| 5 | | P.O.D. Satellite
BOOM. |
| 6 | | Creed Weathered
I look back at this and laugh at how much better they are w/o Stapp (Alter Bridge), but still. |
| 7 | | Cold A Different Kind of Pain
I still like the singer, and the title track still strikes a chord. |
| 8 | | Demon Hunter The Triptych
The first "real" metal (not quite, but you get the picture) I ever actually appreciated. Ribcage is tremendously catchy. |
| 9 | | Flyleaf Flyleaf
The singer's hot, and she screams like a demon. |
| 10 | | Skillet Comatose
Evanescence for good little church boys. Some good tracks, though. |
