News Mod Is A Myth

So I finally hit 500 news articles and I pretty much have nothing to show for it except a number in my profile. Well with that said, I do enjoy bringing all you news daily most of the time and discussing said news items. I may or may not stop posting news, I haven't decided yet, but another 500 isn't looking to be worth it. Anyway, here are 10 of my favorite news articles of the past year.

Opeth Bus Crash: So a guy decides to kill himself and what more metal way to do it than ramming your car into fucking Opeth's tour bus? No better way, thats the answer. It's probably not good to laugh at this situation but I found it hilarious on many levels, easily the funniest news of 09.

Beethoven Carriage Crash: Genius parody article by Mr. Downer, definitely made me laugh at the time.

Lady Gaga Confirmed a Woman: Yeah an article posted by me using Huffington Post as a source, what of it?

American Ghetto Announcement: Actually pretty much all the news leading up to the release of the album, but the initial announcement was such an awesome surprise as Portugal. is one of my favorite bands.

"Don't Go on The Forums:" I hope I'm not the only one who remembers this, but there was an article posted by one of the mods saying not to go to the forums, then it was edited to say Iluvatar is gay or something, and it just kept getting edited. Hilarity ensued.

Faith No More Reunite: Easily the best re (well maybe if Jawbox panned out...) of the year. Still waiting for these fucks to come to NYC.

Howard Jones Knocks up Pornstar: So this one never made it to Sputnik but it was a lolacaust. Apparently Howard Jones had to leave the tour because he knocked up pornstar Allie Foster and left her with the unborn kid. Then Allie posted pictures of her baby bump and said how much of an asshole Howard is. After all that Allie claimed a hacker got into her twitter account and made that all up. I still think its true.

Opeth 20th Anniversary Tour/BWP Legacy Edition: What better news than one of my favorite bands of all time is coming around and playing BWP in full plus another full set? On top of that they're re-releasing the album with a DVD. Double awesome.
