Abdar112 08.14.09	You're welcome The Mars Volta - for progressive rock stuff: Porcupine Tree, dredg, Muse, Coheed and Cambria, Oceansize, Thrice (newer stuff), Fair To Midland Radiohead - continue w/ Radiohead and listen to their music chronologically. They're one of the few bands these days that have their own distinct sound, there is a lot of stuff they influenced but not a lot of similar sounding bands, but for the hell of it check out: Muse, Thrice (again, newer stuff), Sigur Ros, Beck, The Strokes, Oasis

Lions 08.14.09	As far as classical goes, get some Sergei Rachmaninoff or Igor Stravinsky, although the latter is really harsh and dissonant but really awesome.

AngelofDeath 08.14.09	Good to see a fan of Unexpect. Check out Porcupine Tree, Rush, and Camel. And for something on the more extreme side, check out Mirrorthrone. It's a one-man symphonic death/black metal project. Really superb compositional work.
nodnerB 08.14.09	Funny, I've been meaning to buy some Mirrorthrone for some time now. Is Gangrene a good place to start with him? Any others, espacially based of X-Ray Dog?
AngelofDeath 08.14.09	Hmm. That's a good question. Carriers of Dust and Gangrene are both exceptional albums and it's hard for me to say which is the better starting point.

Abdar112 08.14.09	I'd say get In Absentia f/ Porcupine Tree, and if u give dredg a listen get El Cielo (sputnikers have a boner for that album)
