Metalstyles' Digs

Because I haven't done a digs list in forever and last couple of weeks have been great for me concerning music
1In Vain
Mantra

So gooooooooooooooooood. Progressive metuhl done right. My latest classic album (only the 6th album I've given a 5)
2Blue Stahli
Antisleep Vol. 01

I don't know if it's because I've been listening to pretty much 100% metal lately, but this experimental electro industrial jam sounds like the most refreshing thing ever
3Fear Factory
Mechanize

Yes, it is true, Fear Factory are back in business, and Mechanize is one heavy as fuck album
4Butcher Jones
No Gods West Ep

I always love to listen to these guys. Currently my favourite rock band? probably, and more people need to give these guys a go. Southern tinged hard rock with a vocalist who reminds me of Axl Rose (a much better version of Axl in truth)
5The Grotesquery
Tales of the Coffin born

First death metal record I've heard this year. It's great stuff. Final track is already one of my favourite things in 2010. mmmmmm those arpeggios
6Mudvayne
Mudvayne

Have been spinnin' this relentlessly since it came out. Bought it too. Sounds so awesome through my stereo system
7Down
NOLA

Chill stoner metal and really underappreciated on this site
8No-Big-Silence
Starstealer

One of my favourite industrial bands. Quite diverse for industrial metal, too
9Crossbreed
KE 101

Because there can't be a Metalstyles list without Crossbreed (no, actually, I do not play in the band if you were wondering)
10 Nonpoint
5 Minutes Alone

OK so this is not an album, but I love how good of a job Nonpoint did on covering Pantera. Fuck me, Elias' vocals, in my humble opinion, even outrival Phil's on this cover. Again, soooooooooooo gooooooooooood. Go check it out at their myspace www.myspace.com/nonpoint
