Brand New's Daisy is out now and I'm torn; in some aspects it's fantastic, in others it's disappointing =(

The album is definitely a stretching out for Brand New; I can feel Jesse Lacey's new direction is definitely not a bad thing; Vices is so different for Brand New, but it works | | 2 | Cons
After listening to live versions of songs and getting prepared, some songs let me down; Gasoline really disappointed, I liked the acoustic version. Some songs, I feel, don't work as well as they were supposed to. | | 3 | Lyrically

It's okay, very reminiscent of Lacey's, but more bi-polar; some songs are slow burns and others are balls to the wall. | | 5 | Overall
The album is still not clicking like TDAGARIM, but I'm hopeful; the album is more fantastic than it is awful, and I'm sure I'll come to appreciate it. | |

08.30.09 | It's alright. It's at a 3 right now for me, might peak at 3.5 with more listens. Theres only 1 or 2 great songs, the rest are pretty mediocre, especially at Brand New's standard.
If the whole album was like Vices I probably would've jizz'd my pants. |
