Metal Classics

Some sweet metal classics. (their are only 10, so if I missed your favorites, I am sorry.)
1Black Sabbath
Paranoid

Ahh...Ozzy Era Sabbath... If it weren't for the rest of the band, these albums would have sucked horribly thanks to Ozzy. Still, heavily influential on future metal, thus a classic.
2 Judas Priest
Screaming For Vengence

In my opinion, Judas Preist's big classic. The band at their height, with godly riffs and solos, and Halford's vocal at it's height, with almost an Operaesqe power. A true metal classic.
3Iron Maiden
Powerslave

Iron Maiden had many classics, but I feel this is their biggest, and best accomplishment. Their riffs were wildy respected and influential, and the rest of the band didn't lag behind at all. Plus, writing a metal song based off a poem isn't an easy thing to do, but if any band could do it, it's Iron Maiden.
4Slayer
Reign In Blood

The beginning of destruction. Kerry King ferocious shredding, and Slayer's incredibly dark and fast environment make this a thrash classic among thrash classics.
5Children Of Bodom
Follow The Reaper

Children Of Bodom's second classic, and their best. The band is hard to define, with a mixture of Malmsteem's creation of Power Metal and In Flames' Melodious Death Metal, along with the inspiriation from classical musicians. Combining those influences right would be a difficult task, but they managed to make it sound bloody brilliant.
6In Flames
The Jester Race

Among the creators of Melodic Death Metal, In Flames would create the classic of classics of the genre, Jester Race, remembered for it's hard, yet strangely catchy take on Death Metal. Never before had something so demonic had been so... orderly.
7Possessed
Seven Churches

One of the very first Death Metal albums. Grueling and Evil, Growling, barking vocalists shout about death over fast, heavy, and gloomy guitars. A death metal classic.
8Korn
Korn

So called "tr00" metallers don't accept Korn as "real" metal. But they were influential to a new type of genre, Nu-Metal. Korn's unique blend of Hip Hop, Metal, Punk and many more would be the influence for many other bands in the future.
9Guns N' Roses
Appetite For Destruction

Glam Metal came onto the scene in the 80s, and it would conquerer all that we knew about metal in the day. Many bands faltered, and would never be seen again. However, Guns N' Roses had a talent among them that kept them alive, that would be their brilliant gutiarist Slash, and he would shape an entire generation of people.
10 Avenged Sevenfold
Walking The Fallen

Just kidding.
