| Come Here If You're Good With Downloads
So the websites I regularly buy from offer online digital downloads. Normally, I never have any problems getting things downloaded and onto iTunes, but one day, I was having a hard time getting a file on my iTunes, and I accidentally altered the settings on my computer. It used to be that the ".zip" files would appear as folders on my desktop, and I could open them up and see contents, but after I messed it up, those same .zip files appear as iTunes logos, and they can't be opened up, not even with iTunes. I'll double click them, and iTunes will show up, but nothing happens. They're still .zip files in format, I just can't get them to open for some reason.
It also used to be that after downloading these files, they would come in a compressed folder, but I could open that up and there would be an uncompressed one that I could import to iTunes."
Anyways, if anyone knows any way to fix this, or at least how to restore these files back to their original settings, I would be grateful.

11.18.09 | Dude I was having the same problem for weeks! you use winRAR to decompress right? I don't know, last week I tried the same thing that I always do with the files and all of the sudden it worked. I have no idea what I did, but I'll mess with it when I get home tonight and come back here and post if I find anything out. | Prophet178
11.18.09 | Right click one of the .zip files, hit properties, hit 'Change...' next to 'Opens With' and choose WinRar. | FreePizzaDay
11.19.09 | Got it. I didn't have Winrar, but I got a free program to take care of it. Thanks Prophet. It was probably fairly obvious, but I'm computer retarded. |
