Pissed

Can't go jogging because no gloves and the weather is too cold. Can't drum because the radiator in the suite won't warm up. Can't have a shower in the morning and wake up because the water is f*cking cold. My room is infested with ants. F*ck this. List is disappointing albums.

At Sixes And Sevens

(The reasons for this combine with 2 so read that deion aswell). It's clear that Morten Veland (man solely responsible for this) and Einar Moen/Anders Hilde (guys responsible for writing 2) need to work together. On this, the FOUNDATION of the music is great, but it desperately lacks fresh ideas, interesting instrumentation and interesting song structure that came from Einar and Anders (further shown by the fact they wrote the most complex song on Beyond The Veil, 'Opus Relinque').

World Of Glass

Meanwhile, this definitely has fresh ideas, interesting instrumentation and interesting song structure, however, without Morten laying the songwriting foundation, the record feels unfocused and lost. Combine Morten's foundation with Einar/Anders' ideas and we get a classic like Beyond The Veil. Separate them and we get two good but ultimately disappointing albums.
3Edge Of Sanity
Crimson II

I read somewhere Swano said this would have sucked without the keyboards; he was right. Vocals are boring as hell (seriously does he ever vary them apart from harsh/clean?), rhythm section does little, rhythm guitar is produced HORRIBLY (it feels like it's repeatedly kicking my ear) and the lead guitar does a few cool riffs and solos but nothing life changing. The acoustic parts are also really boring. Once again, above average (how can one not love 'Passage Of Time X'?) but not the classic it's made out to be.
4Tristania
Ashes

Hating this band recently, aren't I? Haha. The first half of this is fantastic (Equilibrium is the sh*t) but after the beautiful 'Cure' 'Circus' comes in and saps all life out of the record. 'Shadowman' is like a seven minute build up with no damn climax. 'Endogenesis' has cool moments but generally feels lost, with a real WTF ending. 'Bird' is good but feels exactly like the first four songs merged together. Bleh.

This really disappointed me too.
