02.28.20 | I ranked the top ten by peak love and Sunbather is the deepest I’ve ever sunk into an album. It impacted my outlook on life, and that overrides any flaws I’ve found in the work. Never said it's weak, just that the bookends are the main draw.

02.28.20 | Fair enough. I've inflated my rankings for albums based on the strengrh of just a few tracks, just was surprised to see it come in first, it definitely does contain a couple of my favourite songs of all time tho.
Hopelessness still holds a few of the best songs of the decade imo. I've since come to really enjoy the record despite its cheesiness and political overtones. Plus 4 Degrees is just god-tier. |
