Experimental/Psych (list)

i'm using the 'Experimental' loosely list is more recent digs than anything i'd really love some off kilter/avant-garde, jazz, or psychedelic recs if anyone has some some
4Neon Blonde
Chandeliers in the Savannah

This is probably my favorite Johnny Whitney project (even if we only ever get one album). Most everything good about the Blood Brothers mixed with some sort of electro-grunge that manages to stay entertaining throughout, Chandeliers in the Savannah retains the beguiling lyricisms of Johnny's other projects and expands excruciatingly piercing synths, drum machines, not to mention Johnny's howling into something more grandiose than Jaguar Love or BB ever seemed to achieve.
3Omar Rodriguez-Lopez
Old Money

This is an excellent intro to Omar's vast (if sometimes tiresome) catalogue of solo work as well as both a showcase of Omar's guitar wizardry and a testament to his unique recording techniques. Fans of Mars Volta will likely love this, and, if given the appropriate amount of spins I'd say there's enough here to ward off any naysayers of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's solo work. (Other good Omar LPs) - 'A Manual Dexterity' 'Se Dice Bisonte No Buffalo' and 'Xenophanes'
2Mike Patton
Mondo Cane

Its time to party with Mike Patton's (softer?) side. Mondo Cane plays like Mr. Bungle's 'California' mixed with a healthy dose of that entirely Latin song on the second side of 'Mit Gas'. If that sounds like an awesome brew to you, then open up a cold one cause this LP was made for you. Cheers.
1The Sound of Animals Fighting
Lover, the Lord Has Left Us...

"This Heat", "Skullflower", "Horses in the Sky", "The Heretic", and "My Horse Must Lose" are my favorites but really the whole thing (minus the kind of ridiculous last song) is stellar and a must for anyone looking for something entrancing and different.
