Krazytom's 10 Best Alt. Rock Albums Of All Time

Another day, another genre, now just keep in mind that Alt rock is rkind of open to interpretation, I'm just doin the best I can to keep rmy definition consistant
10Dredg
El Cielo

The album that inspired me to do this list, such a complete and deep album
with so much emotion put into it, Dredg has yet to match anything like this
9Red Hot Chili Peppers
Blood Sugar Sex Magik

This and Californication are the only RHCP albums I can listen to all the way
through without getting bored. Such a great blend of rock and funk in this
one. Flea is one of the all time great bassists that pushes this album over
the age. John's guitars are always great. Suck My Kiss is definitely the
best RHCP song of all time,
8Primus
Frizzle Fry

Speaking of bassist, here we arguable have the GOAT of bass in Les
Claypool, definitely the most consistent Primus album ever, with the first 6
songs being among their best ever, especially the title track and too many
puppies. Larry LaLonde shows off his skills as well, and also some great
drum parts from Herb, all the quirkiness and more, everything you would
want from Primus
7Pearl Jam
Ten

Not just the best pearl jam album, quite possibly the best grunge album of
all time (Dirt also up there), just every song is amazing, and this album has
really aged well over time, just as fresh and energetic today as it was when
it came out, and beautiful vocals from Vedder are what truly make this
album soar
6Weezer
The Blue Album

Ahh Weezer, still no way you can beat em. While a little more mainstream
in its singles than Pinkerton, where it really shines are on the first and final
tracks, definitely 2 of their best, but definitely a fun album to listen to
throughout
5Weezer
Pinkerton

The Blue Album with the emotion turned up to 11, just so much energy and
intensity added to this album, in addition to the catchyness from Blue
album, Tired of Sex just roars as the album's intro and sets the tone for the
rest, Matt Sharp kicks so much ass on this record, such a shame to lose him
4Faith No More
Angel Dust

I LOVE this album, everything Mike Patton touches turns to musical gold.
But you also have to appreciate the team effort by every member in this
band, Roddy, Mike, Jim, Bill-all stellar throughout. Midlife Crisis, Land of
Sunshine, Kindergarten, all amazing tracks. I BEG of you to get the
extended edition that comes with the Easy cover, truly one of the greatest
covers (if not songs) of all time
3Radiohead
Kid A

Radiohead at their most electronic, and Radiohead made it ok for electronic
elements to share a part in alternative rock, not Radiohead's most consistent album, but definitely their most
groundbreaking. Just a great
album to put on and relax/fall asleep to
2Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

Another album I love, just so much emotion n the vocals and lyrics. This
album creates such a bleak and grey atmosphere, I just love it. I can't pick
a single song off this album that stands out because they are all just so
amazing.
1Radiohead
OK Computer

Brand New saved this from being a Radiohead split spot, but I just can't
NOT pick OK computer. Just radiohead at their finest, it blends the rocky
elements of The Bends with the weird, electronic elements of Kid A. Karma
Police, Airbag, Paranoid Android, Electioneering, the list goes on. As soon
as the intro to airbag comes in, you know you're in for a great ride. Also,
Thom Yorke at his falsettoy best.
