Krazytom's 5 Best Albums Of 2011

Now these are only of albums that I've actually listened to myself as it is impossible for me to listen to that much music
5Thrice
Major/Minor

As much as I loved Thrice's early, punky albums I love their more proggy
stuff, and this is the best yet in that department, just a great listen from
beginning to end
4Nujabes
Spiritual State

What can I say about the late Nujabes, just some of the best beats I've
ever heard produced, and while it may be weaker than his first two albums
without any truly stand out tracks like "Feather" "FILO" or any of the "Luv
sic" parts. Nujabes' music simply takes you to a "Spiritual State" of eternal
bliss, which is where I'm sure he is now, as God needed him to create
Heaven's soundtrack. Rest in Peace Seba Sempai
3The Devin Townsend Project
Ghost

The best of the DTP and one of the best album's Devy's ever done, beauty
doesn't even begin to describe how this album sounds, the album cover
paints such a perfect picture of the mood one gets while listening to this
2Buckethead
It's Alive

Speaking of beautiful music, my all time favorite guitarist released a lot of
gems this year, but this one was heads above all the rest. Simply the way
he makes his guitar sing boggles the mind. Whether its his beautiful softer
songs to his crazy hard jams, long live the head!
1Steven Wilson
Grace for Drowning

Love me some Steven Wilson, whether alone or with Porcupine Tree nothin
can beat the signature sound he brings to everything he does. I liked but
didn't love Insurgentes, but I LOVE this album, and that's why its my #1 of
2011
