somnolence 07.21.13	who's to say that violent-sounding music is on itself 'angry' or 'dark', harshness and pissed-off stylings don't nescesarily stand for hateful ends and they can be used to deliver multifarious messages. the artist out of aural preference assigns this sonic image but his conceptual ideals aren't left-overs of the sounds themselves, in fact, the sound is the outcome of the aforementioned 'themes. lotz of Noise and especially a lot of merzbow isn't 'angry' music, i would describe it as solemn and beautiful, what's there to hate about animal rights, human nature and japanese bondage? Lovely. Lyrics and aesthetic should be the primary focus, not sound imo. thoughts?
