| I need recs.
HI everyone. It's time for my one list a year. I need some new recs. You can take a look at my ratings, if you want, but I'm open to anything. I'm going to put some of my favorite stuff below, but I'll give it all a shot. Obviously, I'd prefer stuff you like rather than jokes.
I'll add 'em to the list, and give my thoughts and a rating. I might also do some youtube videos on certain songs, if I feel the desire.
REC AWAY PLZ. Let's do two per user, if this doesn't get traction, I'll let people do more than two. Give me a little description and a link if you can, if only to make my life easier :] | 1 | | Coheed and Cambria From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness
Prog-ish Rock | 2 | | Streetlight Manifesto Somewhere in the Between
Ska | 3 | | Explosions in the Sky The Wilderness
Twinkly ass Post Rock | 4 | | Dance Gavin Dance Artificial Selection
Swan Core | 5 | | Vulfpeck Live at Madison Square Garden
Funk | 6 | | Plaid Retina Mind Tracing the Going Down
Mind Tracing the Going Down - Casavir [Post-Hardcore]
This gave me some really big Primus vibes. I don't know if that's what they were going for, but that's what I got out of it. I don't think it was a bad song, per se, but it felt a little aimless, and I think it would have benefited from being a bit shorter. Not too bad though. Good bass, kinda weird, meandering guitar.
6/10 | 7 | | Destruction Cracked Brain
Cracked Brain - Casavir [Thrash Metal]
As compared to the last one, this was really short and sweet. Awesome riffing, and the bass is very good as well, even though it's buried in the mix a little bit. I'm usually not huge on thrash, but I like this quite a bit, and would be interested in hearing more. Good rec!
7/10 | 8 | | Pure Violet Glass
Glass - JayEnder
This was cool. It had a nostalgic, kind of ethereal vibe to the song. I don't think it was anything spectacular, instrumentally speaking, but it was just a very pleasant listen, and I can see myself going back to it.
7/10 | 9 | | Pity Sex Feast of Love
Honey Pot - madrigal30
This wasn't too bad. I feel like if I had heard it a few years ago, or when it came out, I would have liked it a lot more. My music taste has changed quite a bit, and this style isn't as much my jam as it used to be. It's still good, but not quite my cup of tea.
6/10 | 10 | | Sugarloaf Beach Hollywoodesque
Hollywoodesque - budgie | 11 | | Drauve Selling Out
Selling Out - budgie | 12 | | Capsule (US) Blue
