| Best Of The British Rock
British Rock is the best...much better than American, and here's why. | 1 | | The Beatles Rubber Soul
The Beatles aren't my favorite band, but I totally see their genius, and how truly great of a band they were, and the fact that they gave birth to rock music as we know it today, and Rubber Soul pushed these boundaries into a fantastic album. This album was the first album in my opinion to really shake things up in rock music. | 2 | | Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
What a classic album by another great British band...so many classic tracks, the album works together as a gigantic whole, and it has such deep meaning. It's a truly perfect album, and the best Concept Album of all time. | 3 | | Rolling Stones Let it Bleed
Rolling Stones were the wild, partyboys of rock, and truly revolutionized rock music as a whole...this album is an immediate classic, and yet another perfect listen even though I'm not a Stones fan. Everyone has to have Let it Bleed though, as the album was probably one of the originally heavily varied releases of all time, and was just perfect. | 4 | | Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Cheerful yet dark, long and progressive, and manages to incorporate piano and heavy-edged guitar work in Porcupine Tree's best work of all time that stands up there with the best British artists of all time. A truly classic progressive rock album. | 5 | | Radiohead Kid A
Radiohead completely revamped their sound with Kid A, and shocked fans worldwide, including those who called Kid A 'Commercial Suicide' even though the album was a technologic masterpiece filled with keyboard bliss, and an eerie cold feeling. | 6 | | The Who Who's Next
The Who was one of the most influential British bands of all time who managed to enter rock music as a pop friendly band, then turned into a strange, keyboard-friendly guitar-driven rock opera band with classic, long epics and just a wonderful atmosphere around them. | 7 | | Radiohead OK Computer
Radiohead is such a good band, and OK Computer was Radiohead's last 'normal release', as it was a-plenty with guitar solos, and definitely was their heaviest album since Pablo Honey, but the album was creepy, terrifying, and just an overall amazing listen with great listens. | 8 | | Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IV
Led Zeppelin is a great band, just not that amazing. The Zep hit it biggest with IV, a varied, heavy, and strange release with many great tracks, and this album would prove to influence bands forever. | 9 | | Muse Absolution
Muse is a band overlooked by many...but why? Their heavy music is excellent, as well as their winding piano solos. Their low-tuned riffs are perfectly mixed with the lead singer's falsetto howls, and the spacy theme is just truly perfect for their style of music. | 10 | | The Smiths The Queen is Dead
Today, you can still listen to Smiths and not notice another band that sounds like them. A young Morrissey who liked to open his big mouth made this controversial masterpiece, backed up by Marr's unique guitar work, and just a truly excellent album and band that was completely original. | |
The Jungler
10.06.07 | Muse being that high is a joke. | Doppelganger
10.06.07 | "Muse is a band overlooked by many...but why?"
Lol. | Altmer
10.06.07 | Deadwing is inferior to many Tree releases, but it still rules for having Arriving somewhere but not Here.
Similarly, Pink Floyd has better releases than dsotm but it rules.
OK Computer rules.
Absolution rules.
Zeppelin rules.
Rest I haven't heard (and fuck the beatles and the stones tbqh) | Yazz_Flute
10.06.07 | Deadwing is fantastic, best PT release.
2 is awesome as well. | TheStarclassicTreatment
10.06.07 | 4 is easily their best. 2, 3, 9 and 10 rule also, and I'm beginning to like 1 a bit more now. | The Door Mouse
10.06.07 | Honestly I wasn't too thrilled with 10 | Monticello
10.06.07 | needs more Reuben.
