06.29.14 | Greg have you heard that Tumbleweed Dealer album? right up your alley bro |
greg84
06.29.14 | No, I haven't. Will check out. The new Rival Sons LP is right up my alley as well. It'd be on the list if I heard it earlier. |
Inveigh
06.29.14 | I've never heard any of their stuff... something I'd dig you think?
I'm actually digging the new COC album as well, didn't think they'd be able to pull off the more southern sound without Pepper, but they do it surprisingly well. |
greg84
06.29.14 | Rival Sons have this classic hard rock style going for them. The songwriting on the new record has improved.
Haven't heard this one either. Have you checked out the new tune-yards yet? |
Inveigh
06.29.14 | no but it's next on my list. i really dug her first one a few years ago, it was one of my most played albums of that summer (2011). is the new one better?
also i've been jamming so much classic rock lately. Hendrix, Cream, Blind Faith, Deep Purple, Traffic, CCR, Blue Cheer and The Who to name a few. if Rival Sons has a good 60s/70s sound I'm in. |
greg84
06.29.14 | Yeah. You may like them. Their new record's their best. The same with tune-yards. Her new album is way more consistent than the previous two. |
Inveigh
06.29.14 | nice, that was my only gripe with whokill, consistency. stoked to listen to the new one now. |

06.29.14 | Love Rival Sons' self-titled EP but the two albums after that were somewhat disappointing in comparison. Haven't heard the new one yet but can't see it topping the EP, they seem to have lost a lot of that raw energy that made that release so infectious. |
greg84
06.29.14 | I haven't heard their EP. I thought their first album was good, the second disappointing, the third one is their best so far. |
JamieTwort
06.29.14 | Second album is definitely better that the third, although admittedly I haven't given the latter many listens. |
