Soon To Get
...ideally. We'll just see how the funds work out, but here's what's exciting in the near future. |
1 | | Cymbals Eat Guitars Why There Are Mountains
I've heard nothing but good things about this. Apparently, it's like a melting pot of all the strongest aspects of modern day indie and alternative. |
2 | | New Moon Soundtrack
Yes, the fact that this is related to Twilight is shameful. But come on. Death Cab, Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver...I don't have the will power to resist that. |
3 | | Yim Yames Tribute To
My Morning Jacket + George Harrison. There it is. |
4 | | Converge Axe to Fall
The majority of things I've heard about this have been positive, and Converge has rarely disappointed me with their past releases. |
5 | | Flight of the Conchords I Told You I Was Freaky
You did indeed, guys. You did indeed. |
6 | | Sufjan Stevens The BQE
I've heard very little about this, actually, but my understanding is that it's a classical piece. Which is odd, but not exactly surprising. (P.S. The Avalanche - worth looking into?) |
7 | | Katatonia Night Is the New Day
Scuttlebutt is that this sounds like a heavier version of The Great Cold Distance. Which, to me, seems to indicate it will be excellent. |
8 | | Murder by Death Finch Soundtrack
Apparently, Murder by Death released an instrumental soundtrack to a Sci-Fi book. ... Well, why not? |
9 | | Russian Circles Geneva
Unfortunately, it sounds like the new Pelican album isn't as good as the Ephemeral EP indicated it would be. On the bright side, Geneva is being called the post-metal release of the year, so there's that. |
10 | | Between the Buried and Me The Great Misdirect
Self-explanatory. Also, preposterously expensive. But still. |
11 | | The Company Band The Company Band
Sign Here, Here, & Here was pretty good, and I can't see this being any less fun and engaging. Plus, I really dig Neil Fallon's voice. |
