December Shows

Heyo, on the homestretch here, gang! Been a pretty solid year for concerts, and depending on how you tally it, think I'm on-track to hit my stretch target of 36 shows to make up for lost time stolen by that damn 'rona.
1Covet
technicolor

Playing Das Ottobar Friday, 12/1 - Glad to see this band getting back out there, not sure if there's new material in the works of if this is just a belated tour around the album above, but either way, pretty stoked for it!
2The Speed of Sound in Seawater
Underwater Tell Each Other Secrets

Opening for Covet - Honestly wasn't even sure this band was still a thing, so another one I'm pleased to see is still kicking. Been almost a decade since their last one, so hoping there may be at least an EP or something in the offing...
3The Velvet Teen
All is Illusory

Also opening for Covet - Truthfully not too familiar with this act, but if their tour-mates are any indicator, should be in for some good stuff.
4Foxing
Draw Down the Moon

Playing Ottobar Tuesday, 12/6 - This is a happy coincidence for me, this show actually changed venues and was initially gonna be like twice as far away, so definitely happy with that outcome. Also just recently jammed their live record, which bodes pretty well for this. Hoping they'll have the Smidley LP's for sale at the merch table, but that may be a longshot.
5Shinra Knives
you will never see heaven

Opening for Foxing - Another unknown quantity for me, but definitely seems like a wild pairing right here.
6Loathe (UK)
I Let It In And It Took Everything

Playing Baltimore Soundstage Sunday, 12/11 - Only just learned of this tour recently; the less said about their latest album, the better, though I'd assume that sort of thing wouldn't dominate a live set, regardless.
7Static Dress
Rouge Carpet Disaster

Opening for Loathe - Honestly, in light of the uncertainty above, my main draw for wanting to go to this show haha
8Omerta
Hyperviolence

Also opening for Loathe - Another act I'm unfamiliar with, but I suppose I have some time to get acquainted.
9UnityTx
MADBOY

Also ALSO opening for Loathe - Yet another unknown quantity here; I'd say there were an awful lot of bands on the bill, were it not for...
10Homesafe
Nervous Reaction

Playing Metro Gallery Monday, 12/12 - Five(!) bands on the bill for this one, probably gonna end up taking off Tuesday if I hit this up, since back-to-back weeknight shows, particularly this early on in the week, can do a number on these old bones.
11Valleyheart
Heal My Head

Opening for Homesafe - Another case where the non-headliner is my main draw for the show, these guys are great.
12A Will Away
Stew

Also opening for Homesafe - Not quite as familiar with this act, but what I've heard I've really enjoyed. Other openers (not in database): Sleep Cycles, whom I don't really know at all, and My Heart, My Anchor, whom I do; think my man's a local singer-songwriter guy, but has a pretty damn good voice.
13They Might Be Giants
Flood

Playing Ram's Head Live! Sunday, 12/18 - Keeping my buddy company at this one, was truthfully never the biggest TMBG fan, though, y'know, I watched a LOT of Malcolm in the Middle back in the day, so I guess that counts for something?
